Speaking of hand-wound Daytonas, at the Phillips NY auction held today,
The manual-winding Daytona/Big Red "Ref. 6263" owned and worn by Paul Newman will be up for auction.
*Reference: [PHILLIPS][PHILLIPS] In 1983, Paul Newman received a letter from his wife, Joanne Woodward,
It was a gift to commemorate our 25th wedding anniversary.
For Paul, who was injured in a motorcycle accident during filming in 1965.
The back cover is engraved with "Drive Slowly / Joanne."
The estimate is expected to be over $1 million (approximately 100 million yen),
How much will it be sold for? I'm looking forward to it!
The item we have in stock this time is a Big Red with a silver dial and serial number 6, manufactured around 1980.
This is an all-tritium watch in excellent condition, so I highly recommend it!
Please take a look.
The bezel is an inverted Z “MK2” bezel.
This is a valuable original bezel.
The pusher on top is the MK2 pusher.
Below is the “MK3” replacement pusher, which has a groove in the cylinder.
Although only one side remains, the fact that the MK2 pusher is still there is a big plus.
This product has a dial in very good condition.
It is in good condition with no noticeable stains or dirt.
Although there are some slight chips in the luminous material, it has not been repaired and remains in very good condition.
Luminous conditions like this are also rare.
The case and bracelet have some small scratches from use, but are in relatively good condition with no major scratches.
There is only slight wear on the sides of the case, and the holes are in good condition.
The lug feet are also in very impressive condition, retaining their original shape.
The bracelet is a later replacement bracelet (around 2002), but it is in excellent condition with almost no signs of use.
Please rest assured that the flash fit and hard bracelet are exclusively for hand-wound Daytonas.
The middle plate of the clasp also remains firm.
The accessories include an American box.
This product also comes with a black big red dial.
This item is in very good condition. The black dial has lost its lume, and there are scratches and dirt, but
This dial alone is worth the price, so it's a great feature.
Wrist shot!!
Silver Panda hand-wound Daytona.
No matter how many times you look at it, the design is outstanding and it's a wonderful piece!!
