hello everyone.

Although it is Golden Week, a state of emergency has been declared in Tokyo, and of course Ginza is not as lively as usual, making for a somewhat lonely scene.

All we can do is deliver attractive watches to as many customers as possible, so we will continue to work hard at this every day.

Well, today we would like to introduce three Aquanaut models: a relatively early model in 18KYG (yellow gold) that is hard to find; a popular model from the previous generation that has recently seen a price rise; and Commit's first Nautilus model with a unique dial design.

Please stay with us until the end to hear Yasuharu Abe's theory on Patek.

"Ref.5060J-001" Aquanaut 18KYG

It was only after I started committing that I actually got to hold this model in my hands and looked at it closely. To be honest, when I first saw this model, I thought it was a Nautilus? I'm sure there are many people who felt the same way.

That should be it.
In fact, if you look at just the dial, the design is very similar to that of the Nautilus Ref. 3800/1A-001.

The case size of 34mm is a little small for today's watches, but the 18KYG (yellow gold) case and the glossy black dial are eye-catching. The dial indexes and hands are luminous, making this a model with good visibility.

And what is most attractive about this watch is that, even though it was manufactured about 25 years ago, the edges are beautifully sharp and the case is in excellent condition. Most gold (solid gold) watches are polished, but it is clear at a glance that this watch has hardly been polished at all.

The buckle is a large folding buckle that matches the size of the watch in a good way, and it makes quite an impact.

Deciphering the four-digit alphabet printed on the warranty card reveals that the watch was manufactured in October 1997. Looking at the shop stamp, we can see that it was sold by CORTINA, a well-known brand based in Singapore.

The selling price is 4,598,000 yen (tax included).

It's a watch that's quite hard to find, and I think there are very few with a case this sturdy.

"Ref.5065A-001" Aquanaut SS

Next up we'd like to introduce the Aquanaut Large Size with Tropical Band, which was released the year after the first Aquanaut, Ref. 5060A.

Although it is called a large size, the case diameter is 38mm, which is a little small by today's standards. The embossing on the dial is less prominent than on the original Aquanote, but compared to the current Aquanote model, I think the dial design is clearer.

The back cover has changed from a closed back to a skeleton back, allowing you to see the movement "Cal.315 SC".

It appears that it has been polished in the past, but the case and bezel seem to be relatively sturdy.

Another nice feature is that it comes with an additional stainless steel bracelet. This bracelet is rugged, masculine, and not like a Patek Philippe in a good way, which is one of my favorite points. (laughs)
Also, the warranty card shows that it was sold at Patek Philippe 's Geneva Salon in June 2006.

Although it is damaged, it also comes with the original box.

The selling price is 4,895,000 yen (tax included).

Recently, I think the price of Aquanaut has been stable at a high price. Usually, only one type of bracelet is included, so the fact that it comes with a stainless steel bracelet is highly recommended.

"Ref.3710/1A-001" Nautilus SS

The last one we'd like to introduce is the jumbo-sized Nautilus, which was manufactured from the late 1990s to the mid-2000s.

Its defining feature is immediately obvious: its unique dial design.

The Nautilus does not have the embossed finish that is synonymous with the watch, and instead has a matte black dial with luminous WG (white gold) applied Roman indexes that look fresh no matter how many times you look at it. The best feature of this model is the power reserve display, also known as the comet. This is indescribably cute (lol).

It appears that it has been lightly polished in the past, but the case and bezel are sturdy and make a good impression.

The back cover is not a skeleton back, but the bracelet is in very good condition with almost no stretching.

It is unfortunate that watches of this age will inevitably show signs of wear, but the watch comes with a matching box and warranty, making it an ideal collection piece.

The selling price is 8,998,000 yen (tax included).

This is a rare model that is rarely seen on the market, with a sturdy case and bracelet, and comes with all the accessories. As you know, the prices of Nautilus models in general are rising. This is a watch that is hard to find, so we especially recommend it to those who are looking for one.

summary

What did you think.

Recently, we have been handling more Patek Philippe watches than before, and I am enjoying my job even more.

This time, I realized that even though I have been a watchmaker for over 20 years, there are still many models that I have never handled. I still have a lot to learn about Patek Philippe. (laughs)

We will continue to work hard to provide more information, so please feel free to contact us.

see you!
