Good evening everyone.
Up until now, our store has handled many "double-name models" with [TIFFANY & CO.], but we have just received a new model that I love and have never seen before, so I would like to introduce it to you. Please read to the end!
"Ref.5130G-001"
"World Time TIFFANY & CO." 18KWG
The "World Time" "Ref. 5130" was released in 2006 as the successor to the "Ref. 5110".
Although the release dates are different, like its predecessor, it is available in four materials: 18KYG (yellow gold), 18KRG (rose gold), 18KWG (white gold), and PT (platinum).
The changes from the previous model include an increase in case diameter from 37mm to 39.5mm, a change from guilloche finish to sunbeam finish for the center of the dial, and a change in the design of the hands (hour hands) to the so-called "apple hand." In addition, the change in the design of the center of the dial makes it easier to set the current time (especially in minutes), and the size increase has made the city name ring slightly larger, greatly improving visibility.
With the changes to the case size, hands, and sub-dials, the impression is quite different from the original "Ref. 5110."
Due to the delicate design of the dial, there are some models for which it is impossible or difficult to put the W name on the dial. This "World Time" "Ref. 5130G-001" is one such example.
Because of the guilloched sunburst finish in the center of the dial and the names of cities around it, I thought it would be impossible to include the Tiffany & Co. logo, but when I looked at this particular watch, I was surprised to see that the logo was definitely printed on the dial (at the 6 o'clock position)!!
This is true for any brand, but the most important thing about a double-name model is the presence of a warranty. Of course, the engraving on the dial is very important, but the key is whether or not the warranty has the retailer's stamp, print, or inscription on it. By the way, this particular model is being sold at a boutique in Honolulu.
The movement, "Cal. 240 HU," which can be seen through the skeleton back, is Patek Philippe's unique world time mechanism inherited from the "Ref. 5110."
When you press the push button at 10 o'clock, the hour hand, 24-hour ring, and city name ring move, which may seem a bit exaggerated, but it is an impressive sight to see. There is a reason why I featured the World Time in the first Patek Philippe article and have introduced it in several articles since then: I still remember the surprise I felt when I first saw this mechanism.
This particular watch had its exterior finished and overhauled by the manufacturer in May 2025. The fact that it has recently been repaired by the manufacturer gives you peace of mind when using it.
*There are some areas where scratches remain that could not be completely removed by the exterior finish.
The warranty date is December 2013. It comes with a full set of accessories, including a leather pass case, world time instruction manual, and booklets. As a double-name model with Tiffany & Co., it also comes with a Tiffany blue paper box that can store the outer box. It's sure to tickle the collector's heart.
I would like to tell you about the selling price, but it went on sale before this article was published.
As always, I am very sorry.
