Good evening everyone.
Today, we would like to introduce you to a particularly popular and hard-to-find model from among the multiple "double-name models" with [TIFFANY & CO.] that we carry in our store. Please read to the end!
"Ref.5167/1A-001"
"Aquanaut TIFFANY & CO." SS
This is a double-name model with TIFFANY & CO. of the "Ref. 5167/1A-001", which has been driving the popularity of the Aquanaut for approximately 17 years since its introduction in 2008 until its discontinuation in 2025.
The "Ref. 5167/1A-001" is an extremely popular model, and is one that is considered extremely difficult to purchase from an authorized domestic dealer. It is a model with a bracelet, not the tropical band that most people would imagine when they hear the name "Aquanaut."
In addition, the watch we are introducing this time is not the usual "Aquanaut", but a popular and rare double-name model with [TIFFANY & CO.]. I think you can tell how rare it is without any explanation.
Before we get into the main topic, let's briefly talk about the relationship between TIFFANY & CO. and Patek Philippe .
Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co. have a long history together, with Patek Philippe watches being sold at Tiffany boutiques in the United States from 1851 to the present. It may not be widely known, but Tiffany & Co. is in fact the oldest retailer of Patek Philippe in the United States.
*The number of boutiques (such as Tiffany & Co.) that carry double-name models has become extremely limited compared to before, making it very difficult to purchase them.
In 2008, the first Patek Philippe salon in the United States opened inside Tiffany's flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York. In 2013, to commemorate the fifth anniversary, the company released a special edition of the Annual Calendar "Ref. 5396G" [TIFFANY & CO.], limited to 100 pieces.
Also, what solidified the recognition of the double-name model with TIFFANY & CO. was the surprise announcement of the Nautilus Ref. 5711/1A-018 in 2021, the 170th anniversary of the model, which is still fresh in everyone's memory.
Only 170 pieces were made, and they were only sold at Tiffany & Co. boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills, and San Francisco. The colorful "Tiffany Blue" lacquer dial and the Tiffany & Co. logo at the 6 o'clock position make it instantly recognizable as a Tiffany & Co. double-brand model.
By the way, the very first watch of this model was put up for auction at the PHILLIPS auction in New York, where it was sold for approximately 730 million yen at the exchange rate at the time.
Although this is an extremely rare model, we have handled it once before.
The skeleton screw-back glass is printed with "170th ANNIVERSARY" at the top, "1851 - 2021" in the center, and "TIFFANY & CO - PATEK PHILIPPE" at the bottom, making it a special piece down to the smallest details.
Let's get back to the main topic here.
I have seen many "Ref.5167/1A-001" watches, but I can't help but feel excited every time I see the "TIFFANY&CO." printed in white above the 6 o'clock position on the dial index. Am I the only one who can't help but feel excited? (laughs)
It's placed in a modest size so as not to interfere with the design, but it has such an incredible presence that you'll wonder how much of a difference it makes with or without it! This is exactly what tickles the hearts of enthusiasts.
The bezels of the Nautilus and Aquanaut are prone to scratches, so many people are looking for one without scratches, but non-polished pieces tend to be preferred. This piece has some scuffs and scratches from use, but it was given to us by the original owner who took good care of it, and we can confidently recommend it as a non-polished piece.
The 40.8mm case fits comfortably on the wrist and is 8.1mm thick, so it can be worn with both formal and casual outfits. The wide bracelet makes a big impact and shows a different look from the tropical band.
The movement that can be seen through the sapphire glass skeleton back is the "Cal.324 SC" that has been installed in many models. This intricate construction is beautiful no matter how many times you look at it.
The warranty date is February 2016. The "Tiffany Blue" outer box is not included because it was not received at the time of purchase, but all accessories such as the pass case, booklets, and box are included. Of course, the warranty has the [TIFFANY & CO.] shop stamp on it. Not only is the "W name" notation on the dial, but it is also very important that it is printed on the warranty.
The selling price is 14,960,000 yen (tax included)
