SOLD OUT!!

The "Ref.1016," the third-generation Explorer, was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1989.
This vintage Explorer underwent various specification changes during its long manufacturing period.
It is a popular vintage model known for its excellent dial design and exquisite 36mm size.

The individual that arrived this time has an original serial number of L3 (1989-90).
However, the middle case was replaced twice during manufacturer overhauls in May 2002 and June 2010.
Some of you may be wondering "twice?".
At the time, "all new" was a trend, and the repair statement from 2002 shows the cost of a case replacement as 32,000 yen, so it's likely that case replacements were more common back then.
In addition, the dial, hands, bezel, bracelet, etc., were also replaced during past overhauls,
so it might be easier to say that this "Ref.1016" is almost entirely new.

The dial, in particular, was replaced at some point with a dial from the 80s, which is different from a service dial.
Therefore, the luminous indexes on the dial are tritium.

The hands glow with Lumina luminous material.

By the way, the dial condition is maintained in a very clean state.

Although the replacement of the mid-case is a bit disappointing,
the case condition is good, and you can enjoy a crisp case.

A case with sharp edges is indeed cool!

Since the bracelet was also replaced in later years,
it is in very good condition with almost no sagging.

The accessories are also a highlight of this product!
It comes with the box, warranty card (punched), EX booklet, Oyster booklet,
repair statements (2002, 2010, 2013, 2017), and a calendar (89-90).
While the included warranty card with the original serial number is a welcome point,
the fact that so many repair statements have been preserved is also appealing.
It's interesting to trace the repair history.

Vintage Explorer "Ref.1016"
Although it's an almost entirely new piece, its overall condition is very good,
making it a great individual that can be enjoyed comfortably!
Four-digit models in such good condition are popular!
The rare warranty card is also included, so it's highly recommended.
The selling price is also kept low, so don't miss out if you're looking for a Ref.1016!
