Today's introduction is a vintage Datejust "Ref.1600/8" which was manufactured from the 1960s to the late 1970s.
While all-gold Datejusts are rarer than Day-Dates, this particular model is an even rarer smooth bezel all-gold model.

What do you think?!
Isn't this color amazing?!
This is truly an impactful, exquisite tropical mirror!

Tropical dials vary in their degree of transformation, but honestly, it's rare to come across a piece that has transformed this intensely brown.
As you can see, the dial condition is excellent.

Although there are some natural color irregularities, it remains in beautiful condition even under a loupe.
Mirror dials usually have some scratches, so a piece in such beautiful condition is undoubtedly rare!

The mirror's luster is also top-notch, showing a truly beautiful shine.
The luminous material on the indexes is also in excellent condition with almost no loss!!
These uniquely shaped indexes also have a great character. They sparkle and blend exquisitely with the tropical mirror.

While there are minor scratches commensurate with its age, the case condition is superb!!

As you can see, the mid-case is in good condition without excessive polishing.

The lugs are thick, making this an excellent, well-defined piece!!

Wrist shot!! So cool!!
This is an intensely tropical mirror, so impactful it looks orange rather than brown!
*The leather strap and buckle are aftermarket.
