The 3rd generation Explorer "Ref.1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.
It is a vintage Explorer that has undergone various specification changes over its long production period.

This time, we have an early mirror dial, which is rarely seen on the market.
Its beautiful mirror-like shine is attractive,
It is a rare dial, and the number of pieces available is overwhelmingly small even among vintage models.

This particular piece is a stunning mirror dial with a beautifully preserved glossy finish.
Just the other day, I introduced another Ref.1016 mirror with a wonderful glossy finish,
and to have another stunning, rare mirror come in so soon after is...
It's strange how things like this sometimes happen.
The market supply seems to be decreasing significantly,
so when you encounter such a piece, it's an opportunity!

What do you think?!
It's beautiful~! This is truly a top-class glossy finish!!
It's a beautiful mirror dial.

The dial condition is also excellent,
with only very minor scratches visible under a loupe,
but no noticeable scratches or deterioration!
The moderately aged tritium lume also looks great!

This particular piece has an early non-circle mirror dial,
and a distinctive feature is that the 369 indexes use the same typeface as the circle mirror.
It is an extremely rare dial, and
it is difficult to find one when you are looking for it.

The hands were replaced later and the luminous material has been corrected,
but the atmosphere is not spoiled.

The gold-painted logo and minute lines shine so coolly!
Gold lettering stands out beautifully against the jet black!

Although there are signs of use,
the case and bracelet give a solid and positive impression.

As you can see, the mid-case has not been excessively refinished,
and is relatively solid.

For watches of this era, the rivet bracelet is an essential point!!

The buckle clasp is from the second half of 1964.

The rivet bracelet has a very natural stretch,
but a good impression bracelet is attached!

Nevertheless, this piece has a great face!
A non-circle early dial in such good condition is undoubtedly rare!!

Wrist shot!!
Please enjoy the incredibly cool, sparkling jet-black mirror!!

Vintage Explorer "Ref.1016/1964"
This is a highly recommended rare piece with an early non-circle mirror dial that is very rarely seen on the market!
Having such a brilliant jet-black mirror would surely boost your spirits (lol).
The market price seems to be gradually rising, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out!
To customers looking for an incredibly cool 1016 mirror dial,
please consider it.
