The 3rd generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.
It is a vintage Explorer that underwent various specification changes during its long production period.

This particular model has an early mirror dial, which is quite rare.
Its beautiful, mirror-like luster is captivating, making it an extremely scarce dial even among vintage models.

This particular piece has a dazzling mirror dial with a beautifully preserved sheen.
Just recently, I introduced another Ref. 1016 with a wonderful glossy mirror, and to think that another dazzling mirror, which is so rare to find, would arrive so soon... Such strange things happen sometimes.
The market seems to have significantly fewer of these available, so when you come across such a piece, it's a chance you shouldn't miss!

What do you think?!
It's beautiful, isn't it? This is truly a top-class glossy mirror dial!

The dial condition is also excellent,
with only very minor scratches visible under a loupe,
but no noticeable scratches or deterioration!
The nicely aged tritium luminous paint also looks great!

This particular model features an early dial among non-circle mirrors, and it's also characterized by the 3-6-9 indices having the same typeface as the circle mirror dials.
It's an extremely rare dial that's hard to come by when you're actively searching for it.

The hands were replaced in later years and the luminous material has been corrected, but the overall feel remains intact.

The gold-painted logo and minute markers shine so coolly!
Gold lettering really stands out against the jet-black background!

Although there are signs of use, the case and bracelet give a solid, pleasing impression.

As you can see, the mid-case has not undergone excessive polishing and remains relatively sturdy.

A rivet bracelet is an essential feature for models from this era!

The buckle clasp is 64.2.

The rivet bracelet has some natural looseness, but it's a good-looking bracelet!

Still, this particular piece has such a great face! It's undoubtedly rare to find an early non-circle dial in such excellent condition!

Wrist shot!!
Please enjoy the incredibly cool, dazzling jet-black mirror!!

Vintage Explorer "Ref. 1016/64"

Wearing such a dazzling jet-black mirror watch is sure to lift your spirits (lol).
The market price seems to be gradually rising, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out!
For customers looking for an incredibly cool 1016 mirror dial,
Please consider it.
