The 3rd generation Explorer "Ref.1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.
This is a vintage Explorer that underwent various specification changes during its long production period.
Even so, the recent Ref. 1016 models have a lot of momentum!!
It's a very popular vintage model that's currently on a roll.
This time, we have a rare mirror dial in stock.
Its beautiful mirror-like luster is attractive, and it is a rare dial, with an overwhelmingly small number of them among vintage models.
Currently, the Ref. 1016 itself is difficult to come by, and a mirror dial in top condition is even rarer.
Recently, it seems that the number of mirrors with a good sheen remaining has drastically decreased, but this piece has a brilliant mirror dial with a beautiful sheen still intact.
How is it? This is what I call a top-class sheen!
It's a beautiful mirror dial.
The dial condition is also excellent, with no noticeable scratches or deterioration!
The index luminous material is also in perfect condition with no missing parts. It has a beautiful patina and an outstanding atmosphere!
A brilliant mirror with this luminous condition is definitely rare!
The gold-painted logo and minute lines are also features of the mirror dial!
The dial has an elegant beauty different from current Rolex models, and the recessed gold lettering looks stunning in person.
Furthermore, this particular piece... If you look closely, can you see that it has a subtle brown tint?

The piece introduced here has a very slight brownish dial, can you see the slight difference in color?
The hands were replaced later and are short hands.
The lume on the hands has been repaired, but it matches the lume on the indices and the glow is consistent, so the overall aesthetic is not compromised.
Although there are some scuffs and small scratches from use, there are no major scratches and it's a good-looking piece.
As you can see, the middle case has not been excessively polished and is solid.
The rivet bracelet is an indispensable element for a mirror dial!
The buckle clasp is from 1968, 2nd quarter.
