The third generation Explorer "Ref.1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.

This is a vintage Explorer that underwent various specification changes during its long production period.

Even so, the recent Ref.1016 models have a lot of momentum!

It has become a highly popular vintage model that is currently in demand.

This arrival is a rare mirror dial.

Its beautiful, mirror-like luster is captivating, and it is a rare dial, even among vintage models, with very few in existence.

Currently, the Ref. 1016 itself is scarce, but a mirror dial in top condition is even harder to come by.

It seems that mirror dials with a good luster are becoming extremely rare these days, but this particular piece has a beautifully preserved, shiny mirror dial.

The dial condition is excellent, with no noticeable scratches or deterioration!

The luminous material on the indexes is in perfect condition with no missing parts. It has aged beautifully and has an excellent ambiance!

This mirror dial with such luminous condition is undoubtedly rare!!

The logo and minute lines painted in gold are also characteristic features of the mirror dial!

It is a dial with an elegant beauty different from current Rolex models, and the slightly recessed gold lettering is truly splendid when seen in person.

Furthermore, this particular piece... if you look closely, can you see that it has a hint of brown in its color?

This is a comparison shot with a 1016 jet-black mirror (right) from our stock.

Can you see that the piece being introduced has a slightly brownish dial, with a subtle difference in color?

The hands were replaced later and are short hands.

Although the luminous material on the hands has been repaired, the irradiation response matches that of the index luminous material, so the atmosphere is not compromised.

Although there are some scuffs and minor scratches from use, there are no major scratches, and the overall impression is good.

As you can see, the middle case has not undergone excessive polishing and remains solid.

The riveted bracelet is an indispensable feature for the mirror dial!

The buckle clasp is from the second period of 1968.
