The 3rd generation Explorer "Ref.1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.
This is a vintage Explorer that has undergone various specification changes during its long production period.
Nevertheless, the recent Ref.1016 models have a lot of momentum! It has become a very popular vintage model that is currently riding high.

This time, we have a rare mirror dial in stock.
Its beautiful mirror-like luster is appealing, and it is a rare dial, as there are overwhelmingly few of them among vintage models.
Currently, the Ref. 1016 itself is rarely in stock, and it is even harder to find a mirror dial in top condition.

Recently, it seems that mirror dials with a strong luster have drastically decreased, but this piece has a brilliant mirror dial with a beautiful luster still remaining.

How is it? This is a beautiful mirror dial that can be called top-class in terms of luster!

The dial condition is excellent, with no noticeable scratches or deterioration!

The luminous material on the indexes is also in perfect condition with no missing parts. It has a beautiful patina and an excellent atmosphere!
This luminous condition on a brilliant mirror dial is undoubtedly rare!
The gold painted logo and minute markers are also a feature of the mirror dial!
It is a dial with an elegant beauty different from current Rolex models, and the recessed gold lettering looks amazing in person.
Furthermore, can you see that this particular piece has a subtle brown tint when you look closely?

Here is a comparison shot with a jet-black mirror 1016 from our stock (right).
Can you see that the piece introduced has a very slightly brownish dial, and the color is slightly different?

The hands have been replaced in later years and are equipped with short hands.
The luminous material on the hands has been corrected, but the luminescence matches that of the indexes, so the atmosphere is not ruined.

The condition shows minor scratches and scuffs from use, but there are no major scratches, giving it a good impression.

As you can see, the mid-case has not been excessively polished and remains solid.

A rivet bracelet is an essential point for a mirror dial!

The buckle clasp is from 1968, second quarter.

The rivet bracelet has natural stretch, but it fits perfectly on the wrist!

Nonetheless, this piece has a good look! It is undoubtedly rare to find a gilt dial in such good condition, as they are not common!

Wrist shot!!This is an undeniably cool piece with a top-level beautiful mirror dial!! Please enjoy the captivating mirror!!
