COMING SOON!!

The first Submariner Date / Ref. 1680.
Manufactured from 1969 to around 1975, this early model features the SUBMARINER logo in red,
commonly known as the "Red Sub."

It's a classic model that boasts immense popularity among vintage watches,
and the individual watch we're introducing today is a well-balanced and recommended piece!
If you're looking for one, please check it out!

The dial is an MK5.
The horizontal lines of the 'f' and 't' in the '660ft' water resistance indication are on the same plane,
and it's a distinctive dial with an open '6'.

The Red Sub has a wide variety of dial variations, but broadly speaking,
MK1 to MK3 are meter-first (200m=660ft notation),
and MK4 to MK6 are feet-first (660ft=200m notation).

The dial condition is excellent,
maintaining a beautiful state even under a loupe!

The tritium luminous material on the indexes also maintains a generally superb condition.
It's a dial with a fantastic aged patina!

The luminous material on the hands is also in good condition!!
There is some very natural aging,
but no noticeable cracks or other issues, making it a good condition.

The fact that it comes with a fat font MK3 bezel is also an attractive feature.
An insert in this good condition is a big plus.
It's a cool insert with a slightly faded, atmospheric feel.
*The luminous dot is an aftermarket part.

The case and bracelet have some signs of use,
but it's an excellent example that maintains a very appealing condition!

As you can see, the middle case is thick and robust!

This case is superb with no signs of over-polishing!

I personally can't get enough of this sharply defined, rugged case side.

The plump acrylic crystal on the Red Sub is also appealing, isn't it?

The bracelet is the indispensable folded link bracelet for this era of Red Submariners.

No buckle clasp engraving.

The age-appropriate folded link bracelet has some natural stretch, but it fits perfectly on the wrist!

Wrist shot!
This is a masterpiece with a beautiful dial and a rugged case!
I highly recommend you see it in person!

The iconic vintage Rolex model, "Red Sub Ref. 1680/MK5 '73"
