Good evening everyone!

It has already been five months since I bought my beloved Patek Philippe World Time watch in November last year, and it has become completely familiar to me. In this article, I would like to honestly review the good points and concerns I have found while wearing the watch.

『World Time』 18KWG
"Ref.5130/1G-011"

In the late 1930s, watchmaker Louis Cottier developed the Patek Philippe World Time, which features a system of linked hour and minute crown and 24-hour disc operation, and was made for people who travel the world or work in other countries. This complication model displays the local time in 24 cities around the world on the dial, allowing you to instantly know the local time in each city.

The watch I'd like to introduce to you today, the Ref. 5130/1G-011, was introduced at Baselworld in 2006 and was manufactured for about 10 years until 2016. This was a relatively long production period in the history of the World Time.

Good points I felt after using it

Design

Bang!!

It's cool and stylish!!

This is the same feeling I had from my first impression. The chic and calm dial is simply outstanding, with a classy gray base in the center and the names of 24 cities around the world filling the outer periphery. The design, which stands out from other watches, is full of originality and is captivating to look at.

Wearing comfort

Bang!!

I'm so touched!!

I was enthralled from the first day I put it on, and I still feel the same way. It fits perfectly on the wrist and is stress-free to wear, as you would expect from Patek Philippe. (This is the catchphrase of the store owner Abe (lol)) Also, the 18KWG (white gold) bracelet has a heavy feel to it, and you can really feel like you're "wearing" the watch. Since the "World Time" is overwhelmingly available in leather straps on the market, another good point about the bracelet type is that it's less likely to be worn by someone else.

As an added bonus (or maybe it's rude to call it an extra), the movement "Cal. 240 HU" that can be seen through the back cover is also beautiful and captivating. This is also the best part of mechanical watches!

Motivation and status

Bang!!

Excellent!!

I don't think I need to explain, but Patek Philippe is a top brand in the luxury watch industry, and is said to be one step ahead of the rest. And when it comes to the World Time, which is one of the most important collections in the brand, it goes without saying that it has a high status. Not only do I feel elated and motivated, but I also tell my watch every day to be a person who does not shame this watch! Act in that way! (laughs) Luxury watches have the power to help people grow in a good way.

Of course, it's part of the job, but I also get a lot of compliments from customers, which can be a great conversation starter. This is a useful communication tool in any industry, especially with people of higher rank.

Points of concern I noticed after using it

Visibility

,,,

It's hard to see the time

I knew this from the time I bought it, but it's still hard to tell the time at a glance. If you look at it outside at night (in a dark place), you can't see anything... (laughs) To be honest, this is not a model I would recommend for people who want to check the time accurately.

However!!! Is it true that wearing this model has helped me to live without being bound by time? Whether you believe it or not is up to you. (laughs)

Functionality

,,,

difficult

"World Time" is a great way to instantly check the time in 24 cities around the world, but the city names are set in one-hour time differences, so to be honest, there are many cities where I can't remember where I am... *Please be lenient with the fact that I don't use it properly (lol)

By the way, at first I was so happy that I kept pressing the push button to rotate the city links, but recently I hardly use it because I can understand without rotating them anymore. If the regulations are relaxed and I get to go on my favorite overseas trip, I'll have to make good use of it! (laughs)

summary

What did you think.

I've been talking about a lot of things openly, but my overall impression after using the Patek Philippe World Time for five months is

The best!

(Probably, there are no other words that describe your favorite machine! (lol))

This was the first time I reviewed my beloved watch, but I was able to objectively learn about its "good points" and "points of concern," and it made me feel even more attached to it. Wearing this watch on my wrist has strengthened my passion for my work, and I feel like my luck is steadily improving! I plan to continue to cherish it and use it as much as I can! (If I buy a new one to step up, please keep a kind eye on me (lol))

Although many people research luxury watches before purchasing them, they rarely take a second look at their own watches after they have been purchased. By reviewing your beloved watch once again, you may discover new charms that you have never seen before. Please give it a try.

Once again, we hope that by reading this article, you will come to love your own watch and enjoy living the life of a luxury watch.

see you!
