Do you know the chain of official Rolex dealers?

We casually visit Rolex stores every day. They come in a variety of forms, including department stores, street stores, and watch shops. However, none of them are directly managed, but are sold by different operating companies and wholesalers. These are called "authorized dealers," and each of these stores has its own chain.

Naturally, the watches are manufactured in Switzerland, but the watches are distributed to each country, and in the case of Japan, they are delivered to Rolex Japan. From there, they are sold to authorized dealers that have sales contracts with Rolex Japan, and the watches are then allocated to the authorized dealers operated by each company.

Each authorized dealer has its own special agreement regarding the products they handle, sales areas, terms of trade, etc., and there are currently five main authorized dealers that wholesale (retail) genuine Rolex products in Japan.

If you are a Rolex fan, you have probably heard of the name Lexia. It is run by Hotta Co., Ltd.

Hotta Co., Ltd. is a company with a long history, having been founded as a watch dealer in Nagoya in 1879. Currently, with its headquarters in Tokyo, the company operates Rolex Boutique Lexia in Ginza, Nagoya and Osaka as its retail division, and also handles wholesale sales of other brands at department stores such as Isetan, Mitsukoshi and Tokyu as its wholesale division.

Glorious Co., Ltd., a group company of Eiko Holdings Co., Ltd., was established as a spin-off from the former Eiko Watch Co., Ltd. as an official importer and distributor of Rolex watches.
