Good evening everyone.
The rainy season has begun in the Kanto region, but the temperature difference can be large depending on the day, so please be sure to take care of your health. Incidentally, it seems that this summer is expected to be extremely hot, which means more wristwatches will be on display, so now might be a good time to start looking for a watch in anticipation of that.
Well, this time I would like to introduce the " World Time " " Ref.5130/1G-010 " and " Ref.5130/1G-011 ", which can be used in any scene all year round, not to mention the upcoming season. Please enjoy until the end.

『World Time』 18KWG
Left: "Ref.5130/1G-010" Right: "Ref.5130/1G-011"
The Ref.5130 was released in 2006 as the successor to the Ref.5110. At the time of its release, like its predecessor, it was only available in four materials, YG, RG, WG, and PT (yellow gold, rose gold, white gold, and platinum), and with a leather strap. The Ref.5130/1G-010, with an 18KWG (white gold) case and bracelet, was added in 2012 at the same time as the Ref.5130/1R-001 with an 18KRG (rose gold) case and bracelet.
[ Specification changes from Ref.5110 to Ref.5130 ]
① Size changed from 37mm to 39.5mm
②The hour hand becomes an apple hand.
③The center of the dial is changed from guilloche to sunbeam (radiating) finish.
The larger case size makes it easier to read the city names on the dial, and the strap has also been increased in size to a lug width of 21mm and a buckle width of 16mm.
※ "Ref.5130/1G-011"
Currently, we also have "Ref.5130/1G-011" in stock, but the difference between it and "Ref.5130/1G-010" is that some of the city names have been changed. (*This is the same as when the "World Time" "Ref.5230G-001" introduced previously was changed to "Ref.5230G-014".)
Also, compared to the "Ref. 5130G-001" with a leather strap, the color of the center of the dial has been changed from silver to a gray that is close to black. While the previous silver dial and leather strap design gave a soft impression, the gray center of the dial and the 18KWG (white gold) bracelet give it a more inorganic, cool impression.
...Hmm? I've talked about a lot of things, but I think most people are thinking that there's something strange about the "Ref. 5130/1G-010" that I'm introducing this time. That's because the center of the dial is the same as the "Ref. 5130G-001" with a leather strap.
As far as I know, Patek Philippe does not change the dial or use special dials unless the customer is an extremely VIP customer. Of course, it is extremely difficult to obtain just the dial, and I think that such a specification is unlikely. To be honest, I am surprised too.
Returning to the main topic, one thing that always impresses me is the comfort of Patek Philippe bracelets. They fit the wrist perfectly and are stress-free to wear. This is a very important point when choosing a watch.
The integrated design of the watch and bracelet is also very beautiful, and because most Patek Philippe watches, except for sports models, come with leather straps, I think there is a slight sense of superiority that only those who actually wear it can appreciate.
The movement "Cal.240 HU" that can be seen from the skeleton back is Patek Philippe's unique world time mechanism inherited from "Ref.5110". By pressing the push button at the 10 o'clock position, the hour hand, 24-hour ring, and city name ring move in unison for one hour, which may seem exaggerated, but it is an impressive sight to watch. The reason I chose "World Time" for the first Patek Philippe theory is because I still remember the surprise I felt when I first experienced this mechanism.
The current retail price for the great value "Ref. 5130/1G-010" model with a silver dial and leather strap is 6,578,000 yen (tax included).
The warranty is dated October 2012, and it comes with all the booklets (including a world time booklet), tags, a pass case, a box, and of course the original dial set. There are some small scratches and inconspicuous marks, but the bracelet is completely in good condition and at this price, it is highly recommended.
Next, let's take a look at the price of the "Ref.5130/1G-011" with the new city name. 6,765,000 yen ( tax included) .
The warranty date is November 2015, so this is a relatively late model. It comes with booklets (including a world time booklet), a pass case, and a box. There are some scratches and scuffs from use, but the bracelet is almost completely worn, so it is a recommended model.
Although we are not introducing it this time, we also have in stock the "Ref. 5130P-001" with a platinum case and leather strap. This one does not have a warranty, but it has a sturdy case that is almost unpolished, and is a recommended item that was just overhauled by the manufacturer in April 2022. If you are interested, please take a look at this watch as well.
summary
What did you think.
As many of you may already know, the suggested retail price (including tax) at authorized domestic retailers has increased by about 10% since June 1. As a result, it is expected that the second-hand market price will also rise by a considerable amount.
As with the "World Time" we introduced, the market price and sales price of past models that should be appreciated have been clearly rising recently, and there are fewer models circulating on the market. Considering the rise in the gold price and the fluctuation of the exchange rate (weak yen), honestly, now may be the time to buy. If you are considering purchasing one, please feel free to ask any questions or contact us.
see you!
