Rolex Daytona Black Dial Inverted 6 All Tritium
Ref. 16520 Serial. N1 (Manufactured around 1991)
Cal. 4030 FF503/78360 Clasp Code P10
Accessories: Box
SOLD OUT!!

The El Primero equipped Daytona "Ref. 16520" was manufactured from R-series to P-series.
The product introduced today is an all-tritium model with the characteristics of an early model!

Models with tritium luminous paint, an inverted 6, and a single buckle have
a vintage-like atmosphere,
and in recent years, they have garnered a lot of attention and are among the most inquired-about El Primero models.

The number of El Primero Daytonas themselves is decreasing, but
early models of Daytonas with consistent features are becoming extremely rare.

Prices are generally on an upward trend, so
we recommend checking it out soon if you are looking for one.

Commonly known as the "Inverted 6 dial"

This is an early dial, manufactured until around the S-series, where the "6" at the 6 o'clock position/12-hour counter is inverted to appear as a "9",
hence it is called "Inverted 6" or "Reversed 6".
Overseas, it is also called "INVERTED 6".

The Inverted 6 dial is an easily recognizable feature of early models,
so it is sure to continue to receive strong appraisal in the future!

At first glance, this individual might appear to have an MK4 dial, with no serifs on the letters other than ROLEX. However, it was a new type of dial that also had the characteristics of an MK3 dial, so please check it out if you are interested!

Yes! Please pay attention to the graduations on the subdials!

The top one is the new type of dial introduced this time, and the bottom one is a common MK4 dial.

The MK4 dial is characterized by the absence of serifs on the subdial graduations, but
the individual we are introducing has seriffed graduations.

Aside from the subdials, the lettering is MK4, but the
subdials have seriffed graduations, just like an MK3 dial.

A while ago, I introduced an MK3.5 dial?!, which was an MK3 dial with more understated serifs on the lettering, but
this dial has different characteristics.

Moreover, just like the MK3.5, the serial number is N1, which is also interesting.

Given the above, would an MK3.75 dial be more appropriate (lol)?

I wrote whatever I wanted, but
these subtle differences are what make it interesting!!

The dial condition is very good,
with no noticeable deterioration and in a clean state.

The area around the subdials, which is prone to deterioration, is also in clean condition.

This condition for an Inverted 6 dial is undoubtedly rare!

The luminous material is all tritium.
The indexes and hands have a creamy patina,
creating a wonderful semi-vintage atmosphere.

The bezel has some minor scratches from use, but there's no unpleasant sagging,
and the rare MK4 bezel, matching the watch's age, is securely installed.

The condition shows scratches and scuffs from use, but
it is a good example that suggests it is unpolished.

See the condition of the middle case!
The lugs are thick and perfectly sharp!

What a rugged case.
Am I the only one who finds it strangely cool?

Such a crisp case condition for an early El Primero is rare!

Frankly, there are scratches, but
it is still recommended for those who desire an unpolished case.

The buckle is a single buckle with a clasp code "P10", matching the age of the watch.

As a characteristic of early models, an "Inverted 6" dial with a single buckle is an essential point.
The matte stainless steel single bracelet gives it an even stronger retro feel!!

The 78360/single bracelet has some stretching but is solid.

Despite some deterioration, the case back retains its reference sticker.

Accessories include the box, chronometer tag, Daytona booklet (91), Oyster booklet (91), and calendar (92-93).

The outer box comes with a reference sticker!!

Wrist shot!! It's so cool.
This is a rugged early model exuding a semi-vintage vibe!!

El Primero-equipped Daytona "Ref. 16520/Inverted 6 N1" This is an early single tritium model among Ref. 16520 that exudes a strong presence! Good examples with excellent dial and case condition and consistent parts are currently hard to come by! The rare dial type is also a major attraction! The watch has also been overhauled at our affiliated workshop!
For customers looking for an early model of the Daytona "Ref. 16520",
please consider this one.
