The "Ref.14270" was manufactured from E-serial to P-serial (circa 1991 to 2000).

This is the 4th generation Explorer, which inherited the classical design of its predecessor, Ref.1016,
while evolving into a more modern style with the adoption of sapphire crystal and metal-framed hour markers.

This arrival is an early "Blackout" model manufactured around 1991.

Among the "Ref.14270" models with tritium lume and a single buckle,
this is a rare model produced in extremely small numbers for only a short period in the early days.

"Blackout"

A dial found in early production batches of the "Ref.14270" (E-serial and X-serial),
where the 3, 6, and 9 hour markers have black lines instead of white. 

Incidentally, as a side note, this model is overwhelmingly common in E34 and E81 serials for some reason.
This particular piece is also an E34 serial.

The main feature is the 3, 6, and 9 hour markers with a black line, which is different from standard models,
and the unique face, characteristic of early pieces, is truly appealing!

Furthermore, this particular piece features "silver lettering."
It's a piece that tickles the fancy of enthusiasts, packed with early details even among Blackout models!

The combination of silver lettering and blackout changes the atmosphere so much that
it feels like a completely different watch, despite being the same Ref.14270!!

Not only the crown mark and logo,
but also everything from the minute track to the "T-SWISS-T＜25" notation is in silver lettering.

While it's certainly not a flashy dial,
the combination of black 3, 6, and 9 with silver lettering is remarkably understated and cool.

At first glance, it gives a calm impression, but in person, it has a unique presence,
a captivating dial that draws you in the more you look at it!

An important point! The dial condition is excellent,
maintaining a clean overall state.

It's curious how few Blackout dials show signs of deterioration.

The luminous material is all tritium.

The luminescence on the hands is also in good condition,
and it is perfectly balanced with the hour markers!

Precisely because it's a rare model like the Blackout,
we definitely want to stick with all-tritium!

The case and bracelet show signs of use,
but it's a piece with a good impression, maintaining a relatively clean condition.

The mid-case is in this condition!
There is no sign of thinning on the case at all.

The sharp hairline finish on the lugs is also in beautiful condition!
A Blackout in this condition is undoubtedly rare!

The buckle clasp code is "O11". 

The consistent single bracelet is crisp,
and in top condition with no signs of stretch.

calendar (91-92), and extra links.  

The outer box with the reference sticker is a nice bonus!
