The El Primero-equipped Daytona/Ref. 16520 was manufactured from R to P serial numbers.
It's a very popular discontinued model with an attractive retro atmosphere that current models can't replicate!
The 16520 includes 200Tachymeter, 225Tachymeter, Porcelain, Floating/Stepped,
4-line, inverted 6 dial, Patrizzi, brown dial, and P-serial models.
There are multiple popular models with unique characteristics that excite enthusiasts!
This particular model is a highly valuable,
early MK1/200 Tachymeter × Floating specification.
This combination is only found in a short period of early Ref. 16520 production,
making it an irresistible detail for El Primero/Daytona fans!

"200 Tachymeter" MK1 Bezel
The tachymeter bezel of the 16520 is usually 400 tachymeters, but
some very early models have 200 meters.
It's a rare bezel essential for early models!
"Stepped" MK1 Dial
The 5-line logo at the 12 o'clock position has "COSMOGRAPH" laid out one step below.
This dial is also known as "Floating."
Of course, the "6" on the 12-hour counter at the 6 o'clock position
is an "inverted 6" dial, where the number appears as "9" when inverted.
Personally, what I love about the MK1 dial is
the bold serif letters.
The serif typeface of the 5-line inscription at 12 o'clock and "T SWISS MADE T"
at 6 o'clock looks incredibly cool!
"Porcelain" Dial
And the greatest charm of this model is its porcelain dial!
It is a lustrous, translucent, enamel-like dial found on the earliest white dials,
and its unique texture, distinct from regular white dials, is a major attraction.

Although no actual porcelain is used,
it's affectionately called "porcelain" due to its enamel-like texture.

Another characteristic of the porcelain dial is that the serif letters appear three-dimensional.

When lined up like this, you can clearly see the lustrous and translucent texture unique to the porcelain dial.

The dial has some minor yellowing and extremely fine scratches visible under a loupe, but
it generally remains in beautiful condition.
While porcelain dials are already scarce, finding one in clean condition without cracks is even rarer!

The luminous material is all tritium!
Many early models have had their hands replaced with Luminova, but
this particular piece retains its original tritium hands.

The condition shows wear commensurate with its age, but there's no excessive polishing, and
