The third generation hand-wound Daytona "Ref. 6265" manufactured from around 1971 to around 1988
This is the final model of the hand-wound Daytona and is equipped with the caliber "Cal. 727" which vibrates at 21,600 vibrations per hour.
The pusher is screw-locked, making this model highly waterproof.
The third generation hand-wound Daytona has had a long production period and comes in a wide variety of dials.
The Ref. 6265 we are introducing this time has a blank dial with no Daytona notation above the 12-hour counter.
The Big Red is cool, but the early dial without the Daytona notation is also attracting attention.
This is a rare dial that is not widely available.
Another distinctive feature of the early dials is the "σ" sigma notation at the 6 o'clock position!
There are many types of hand-wound Daytonas with the Sigma mark,
This one has a sigma marking between 28 and 32 minutes.
This is one of the earliest narrow sigma dials.
This dial is mainly seen on '71-'73 dials.
*The σ mark indicates that gold or other precious metals are used on the dial.
Well then, everyone!!
The item we are introducing this time (left) is a special dial with a rare element!
This is a comparison shot with the 6265/MK1 dial (right) in stock at our store.
Can you tell the difference apart from the sigma notation?
Yes! Pay attention to the dial!
The watch we are introducing this time (above) has a very thin record groove on the in-dial, which is unique to the hand-wound Daytona.
There is no step between the dial surface and the sub-dial.
This is a rare dial known overseas as a "very flat" or "flat dial."
The dial is famous for the silver dial of the Row Letter/MK1.
It's also available in Narrow Sigma.
The grooves on the inner dial are almost invisible.
The flat dial has a different retro feel to it than regular dials and it looks really cool.
The dial is in good condition overall,
There is some damage, mainly around the 4 to 5 o'clock position, including missing index luminous material.
For that reason, we have kept the price down considerably.
The luminous material is all tritium.
The UV exposure response of the hour and minute hands is also correct.
The case and bracelet are in good condition and show some minor scratches due to use.
There are no major scratches and it is in good condition considering its age.
The middle case has a slightly polished feel.
The consistency of FF is off,
The buckle is stamped with the 3rd period '71 and is dated accordingly.
The bracelet has a very natural wrinkle,
It's in fair condition.
The pusher is equipped with a MK2 pusher!
This is a very rare pusher.
The bezel is an MK1 that matches the period.
Wrist shot!!
Enjoy the flat dial that exudes a retro atmosphere!
