The Daytona Ref. 16520, equipped with the El Primero movement, was manufactured from R-series to P-series.
It is a very popular model with a charming retro atmosphere that current models cannot replicate.
I've been frequently asked lately, "What do you think about the future market price of the Ref. 16520 / El Primero?"
Looking at the high design quality of the Daytona with the El Primero movement,
I personally feel that the overall market price will gradually rise.
Currently, the market price is stable,
but there are signs that it might gradually start to climb again.
It's a popular model that many people are keeping an eye on,
so I'm looking forward to seeing its future trends!
The product introduced this time is a U9 serial number, which is close to the final year of production.
This is an excellent piece that I can confidently recommend, and it comes with the box, warranty, and other accessories.
Although this particular dial is marked with tritium (type 6),
the luminous material is not tritium but Luminova, making it an irregular model.
This type of dial is sometimes called "tritinova"!
Incidentally, "tritinova" dials have been observed from around U6 serial numbers, and some A-series dials also exist.
While it hasn't received any special appraisal yet,
it's an interesting dial with a short production period!
Since it's a U9 serial, the bezel has a narrower spacing between the "HOUR" letters,
which is consistent with a Type 5 bezel from that era.
There are some minor scratches,
but the bezel area doesn't show any signs of wear, giving it a very good impression.
The dial is in good condition,
maintaining a clean state even under a loupe.
The case and bracelet are also in good condition,
with only minor scuffs, and generally clean throughout.
*No scratches are visible on the crystal, which does not have the laser-etched coronet.
As you can see, the case sides are also in good condition.
The mid-case is in superb condition, retaining its original form.
The lugs are thick, and the watch is crisp and sharp!
The hairline finish is also in excellent condition.
The buckle clasp code is "Z8".
The age-matching bracelet (full links) shows almost no stretch!
