SOLD OUT!!
The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" manufactured from around 1959 to around 1989
During the long manufacturing period, various specification changes have been made.
Vintage Explorer.
The item arriving this time is the L number, which is the final item.
There is also the E series, which is produced in extremely limited numbers.
The R and L models are popular years that are nearing the end of production.
The dial is the final, well-balanced dial produced from around 1986 to 1989!
The luminous material on this dial doesn't burn very well.
Although this individual cannot be said to be pure white,
There is not much luminous fading. The color of the hands and indexes is uniform.
There are very slight cracks in the luminous hands that can be seen with a magnifying glass,
The condition is good.
Well, this is an early MK1 dial, L number.
The luminous index numbers 3, 6, and 9 are bold and cute.
This is a rare dial known as "fat font" or "fat luminous."
This is the first time in a long while that the L-number fat font has been available at Commit.
This is a comparison photo with the L2 model (left), which comes with a guarantee.
When comparing them like this, can you see the difference in thickness between the 3, 6, and 9 indexes?
What do you think? This fat, bloated index!!
Am I the only one who thinks of "Obake no Q-taro" when I see this "9"? (lol)
It's a cute index! (laughs)
This is an interesting dial in that even though they use the same L-number fat font, there are slight differences in the typeface depending on the individual dial.
The dial condition is excellent,
It is in good condition even when viewed through a magnifying glass.
The condition is that there are scratches due to use,
This is a watch with a good, solid case and bracelet.
The middle case is in excellent condition with sharp edges!!
The lug legs are also perfect!
Unfortunately, the buckle was replaced in later years.
The bracelet is in good condition with only slight creasing!
Wrist shot!!
I can't get enough of those plump 3, 6 and 9!!
It's a dial that you will grow to love!
