The "Ref. 1675" is a long-selling model manufactured from around 1959 to 1979.
The piece we are introducing today features the "gilt dial" found on models produced up until about 1967.
The gilt dial is captivating for its mirror-like, glossy luster, and the gold-colored logos and lettering are a distinctive feature.
This piece showcases an early design characteristic with minute markers arranged in a circle along the outer edge of the dial.
The gold lettering emerging against the black mirror finish changes its expression depending on how the light hits it and the angle from which it is viewed,
allowing you to enjoy a unique atmosphere that cannot be experienced with modern models.
The slightly recessed gold lettering looks incredible in person, and combined with the gloss of the gilt dial, it reveals the delicate and beautiful expression unique to vintage models!!

As many years have passed since its manufacture,
it is becoming increasingly difficult year by year to find gilt dials that have retained their luster so well.
For any vintage Rolex enthusiast,
this is an attractive dial you would want to own at least once, isn't it!!
I want it too... (laughs)

Now!! While there are various dial variations for the Ref. 1675 mirror dial,
this is a rare "OCC dial" seen on the very earliest pieces from around 1959!!
OCC is an abbreviation for "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER," a designation seen on Rolex chronometer-certified models from the 1950s in particular.
For the Ref. 1675, this was adopted for the earliest pieces around 1959, and later transitioned to the familiar "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" text.
As a result, there are very few OCC dials in circulation, making it a rare dial that is rarely seen even among the many Ref. 1675 dial variations!!
This piece has a serial number in the 5.0 million range, placing it exactly in the earliest period when the Ref. 1675 was first introduced.
Packed with the details unique to the earliest models,
it is irresistible for vintage GMT lovers!!

The dial has fine cracks that are barely visible to the naked eye,
but the gloss is brilliant, maintaining top-class luster for a gilt dial!!
Though very subtle, a slight brownish tint can also be observed,
and this exquisite aging is something you become more drawn to the more you look at it.
While many OCC dials suffer from significant aging due to the passage of time, it is rare to come across a piece that has preserved such a high state of condition.
It is no exaggeration to say that this is top-class among OCC dials;
the dial condition is simply wonderful!!
There is almost no degradation to the luminous index markers, and they are in outstanding condition, hard to believe for a piece over 60 years old.

The luminous material is all tritium. The hands also have exquisite aging, and the luminous condition is excellent as well!

The era-correct early insert on this piece is also lovely!! The unique coloring of this period, where the lower half even looks orange, is just great.
The moderate fading has a certain charm—it truly is a captivating insert!!

Features such as the early "deep groove" bezel with deep notches in the bezel grip,

and the crown guards with pointed tips, known as "PCG (Pointed Crown Guard)/Cornino," are hallmarks of this era and are irresistible points for vintage enthusiasts!!
The case and bracelet show minor scratches from use, but the overall condition is extremely good!

As you can see, the mid-case is thick and very solid!!

The edge lines of the lugs are also sharp and well-defined!! It’s a rugged and cool-looking case!!

A rivet bracelet is an essential point for a mirror dial!!
It is equipped with a rare 6636/extension-type rivet bracelet!
The buckle is stamped for the 4th quarter of 1960.
The rivet bracelet is also in outstanding condition!

Accessories include a box with a reference sticker. It is a box with a tasteful feel that evokes its age, giving it a fantastic vintage atmosphere!!

Wrist shot!! So cool!!
An earliest-period gilt dial with OCC text... simply too classy!!
