Hello everyone!!

Today, I'm going to talk about glasses, which are one of my personal icons.

Watches of celebrities who look good with glasses

I would like to introduce you to...

In the past, when you heard the word "glasses," you might have had a negative impression, such as "nerd" or "not fashionable," but nowadays it is an item that almost every fashionable person has.

Glasses have a big impact on one's appearance, are an important part of an outfit, and can be said to be an important item that determines the impression one makes, both in business and private situations.

This time, we will introduce some celebrities who use glasses as their trademark and take a closer look at their wrists.

Men with glasses, don't miss this!!!

Favorited by John Lennon
[Patek Philippe]

"Perpetual Calendar Chronograph"
"Ref.2499"

The first person I would like to introduce is John Lennon, the world-famous leader of The Beatles.

When you think of "round glasses," you think of John Lennon. When you think of John Lennon, you think of "round glasses." This is a common understanding that transcends generations. The culture of "round glasses" that John Lennon created is still being passed down today, and has had a major impact on the eyewear industry. It is also well-known that his wife, Yoko Ono, is Japanese, and he was known to wear many glasses made by Japanese manufacturers.

John Lennon, who was also a glasses enthusiast, wore the Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 2499.

It is said that only 349 pieces of the "Ref. 2499" were produced, making it a rare watch that can sell for over a billion yen at overseas auctions. [Round glasses] x "Perpetual calendar"... that's the best.

As an aside, I am currently wearing a pair of round glasses from Saville Row, made by Alga Works, the same workshop that produced the round glasses that John Lennon used to wear. Although they are nothing like John Lennon's, I would like to continue wearing them stylishly in the future.

Used by Gen Hoshino
[Longines]
"Master Collection Chronograph Moon Phase"
"Ref. L2.673.4.51.6"

Next, we would like to introduce Hoshino Gen, who is a multi-talented singer, actor, essayist, and columnist.

Gen Hoshino was memorable for his black-rimmed glasses in "Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu". This year, after co-starring in the drama, he surprised the world by becoming a real couple with actress Yui Aragaki. Also, New Year's Eve is coming up, and as a singer, he will be appearing in the year-end Red and White Song Battle for the seventh consecutive year.

Gen Hoshino, who looks great in those black-rimmed glasses, wears a Longines watch.
"Master Collection Chronograph Moonphase" "Ref. L2.673.4.51.6".

This is a wonderful model that is equipped with a moon phase triple calendar chronograph and multiple other complicated mechanisms, has a high level of design, and is good value for money.

Black-rimmed glasses go well with any watch, but this model with its black dial and rugged look is an especially good choice.

A favorite of George Tokoro
[Rolex]
"Milgauss (original custom watch cracker dial)"

"Ref.116400GV"

Next up is George Tokoro, a talent who is said to be a genius and is spreading his unique worldview to the world.

More than 40 years after his debut, Tokoro-san is still loved all over Japan and is active on the front lines of television. His creative activities at his office and secret base, commonly known as "Setagaya Base," are truly original and full of the charm that men long for. He also has a wide variety of glasses, and I'm sure many men who wear glasses look up to him.

Such a free-spirited and original George Tokoro even created his own Rolex!
I am currently using the Milgauss (original custom watch with cracker dial) "Ref. 116400GV".

,,,eh!!??

I was so shocked I was speechless (lol) Tokoro George-san is amazing! I had never seen or imagined such a watch, so my concept of watches was completely overturned. The green glass of the Milgauss remains on the edge, so the model can be just barely identified, but the dial is a cracker... I think it's a custom watch that only Tokoro-san could make.

His glasses and watches are always full of originality and he is not bound by preconceived ideas, so I would like to continue to take inspiration from him in the future. (laughs)

summary

What did you think.

The three people introduced this time are people that any man who likes glasses would want to take inspiration from at least once.

Both glasses and watches are the greatest tools for expressing and establishing yourself.

I hope that by reading this article, all men who wear glasses, or rather all men, will be able to find great glasses and watches.

see you!!
