① Equipped with the first "Earth Phase" in the history of watchmaking

The most notable feature of this model is the inclusion of the "Earth Phase" for the first time in watch history. Until now, there have been models equipped with a "Moon Phase" that reproduces the movement of the moon, but there has been no mechanism that reproduces the movement of the earth. The "Earth Phase" that is installed this time is a patented mechanism, and it shows the efforts of the Swatch Group.

"Earth Phase" shows the Earth as seen from the moon, and expresses it with colors that celebrate the diversity and beauty of the Earth. The Earth, designed based on the ocean, forests, deserts and clouds, has a fascinating finish and is the symbol of this watch.

By the way, just as we can observe the phases of the moon from Earth, we can also observe the phases of the Earth from the Moon. Both the Earth and the Moon have the same cycle of waxing and waning, about 29.5 days, but in fact the order is reversed. In other words, when a "full moon" can be observed from Earth, a "new Earth" can be observed from the Moon. Therefore, when a "new moon" can be observed from Earth, the opposite is true. Due to this principle, the "Earth phase" rotates counterclockwise, opposite to the "Moon phase."

Continuing from the previous work, UV ink is used in this work to bring new expressions to the moon and earth. The ocean parts are coated with UV ink to emphasize their beauty.

To emphasize the mysterious design of the Earth and Moon facing each other, the moon's craters are digitally printed, and the dial has a unique granular finish reminiscent of lunar dust, creating a realistic look of the moon.

3. Reproduce the characteristics of the classic "Speedmaster"

Another point that should not be forgotten is that the fine details are reproduced, which will be irresistible to "Speedmaster" fans. The bezel with tachymeter scale faithfully reproduces the "Dot Over 90". The asymmetrical case with a protruding crown and the subdial at 6 o'clock are specifications that are packed with features for fans of the past.
