2024 [Patek Philippe]

Introducing discontinued models

It is inevitable that this will have an impact on the market in the future, so please take a good look at it and use it as a reference for buying and selling. Please read to the end!

"Nautilus"

Patek Philippe's iconic watch, the Nautilus.

All of the chronograph models were discontinued, which came as a shock. In addition, the SS (stainless steel) model of the Nautilus Petite Complication, Ref. 5712/1A-001, which was rumored to be discontinued, is still on sale, but the 18KWG (white gold) and 18KRG (rose gold) models with leather straps have been discontinued.

"Nautilus Chronograph" "Ref.5980/1R-001"

The rare Nautilus Chronograph "Ref. 5980/1R-001" model exudes a luxurious yet sophisticated look.

This model features an 18KRG (rose gold) case and a black gradient dial, and is a top-class design that every man aspires to. Due to the low availability, the number of units available at our store was very small, but in 2023 we were fortunate enough to be able to handle four units, which made people wonder if they were really rare models. Also, because it is a popular model, it was traded at a price that was difficult to afford, but it was immediately sold when it arrived, so we are very excited to see how the market price will change in the future.

"Nautilus Chronograph" "Ref.5980/1AR-001"

The Nautilus Chronograph Ref. 5980/1AR-001 is a rare combination model from Patek Philippe.

The combination of 18KRG (rose gold) x SS (stainless steel) case and a vibrant blue dial gives this model a sporty yet elegant impression. This model is just as popular as the "Ref. 5980/1R-001", and is often sold immediately after arrival, so if you are interested, we recommend that you contact us as soon as possible. We currently have this item in stock at our store (as of February 9th), so if you are interested, please check the link below.

<Product details are here>

"Nautilus Chronograph" "Ref.5980R-001"

The Nautilus Chronograph "Ref. 5980R-001" has an 18KRG (rose gold) case and leather strap, giving it a dressy feel.

The dual sub-dial at 6 o'clock on the calm black-brown gradation dial is accented with silver, making this a highly legible and easy-to-use watch. With a leather strap, it was relatively affordable among the Nautilus Chronograph series, but now that it has been discontinued, it may attract more attention and the price may skyrocket.

"Nautilus Petit Complication"
"Ref.5712G-001" ("Ref.5712R-001")

The Nautilus Petite Complication "Ref. 5712G-001" has a heavy-duty 18KWG (white gold) case and a leather strap.

With a dial with well-balanced subdials and a thin, comfortable case, this watch is not only stylish but also extremely practical. As mentioned above, there were rumors that the SS (stainless steel) model would be discontinued, but it turns out that only the 18KWG (white gold) and 18KRG (rose gold) models with leather straps were discontinued. This is one of the most popular models in the Nautilus series, so it may be possible that it will be renewed and re-released!

"Aquanaut"

The Aquanaut is as popular as the Nautilus.

Compared to the Nautilus, there are fewer discontinued models, but some of our popular models and ladies' models have been discontinued. Some of these models were also best-sellers in our store, so we will be keeping an eye on future developments.

"Aquanaut Travel Time" "Ref.5164A-001"

The stainless steel Aquanaut Travel Time (Ref. 5164A-001) has been a huge hit since its introduction at Baselworld in 2011.

Equipped with the movement "Cal.324 SC FUS" with a "travel time function", this watch can display two time zones simultaneously, making it especially convenient for those who travel abroad. The impressive 40.8mm case diameter x 10.2mm case thickness and black embossed dial may not be very noticeable at first glance, but when worn, it has an outstanding presence. The sporty atmosphere and simple coloring make it suitable for both work and play, which is probably why it is so popular. This model is popular in our store and many people are looking for it, so now that it has been discontinued, it is expected to become even more difficult to obtain.

"Complications"

Among the many mechanisms available, "Complications" are characterized by their intricate mechanisms that require the highest level of technical skill and are capable of being manufactured only by top-class brands.

This time, the "World Time" has been discontinued, which came as a huge shock to me as I was a regular user of the watch. There were other discontinued models besides the "World Time," so I'd like to pick out a few and introduce them to you.

"World Time" "Ref.5230P-001"

The new 2022 model "World Time" "Ref. 5230P-001" features a PT (platinum) case and a beautiful blue dial.

Equipped with the excellent movement "Cal. 240 HU " that can instantly tell the time in 24 cities around the world, this is a popular model with an eye-catching guilloche engraving in the center of the dial. However, it was discontinued just two years after its release, so it had a very short lifespan, making it very rare, and it is a model that you should keep an eye on for future developments.

"Annual Calendar Moon Phase"
"Ref.5396G-011" ("Ref.5396R-015")

The "Annual Calendar Moon Phase" "Ref. 5396G-011" follows the design of the original "Ref. 96" and incorporates a complex mechanism.

The dial, which features baton-shaped three-dimensional hour markers, a simple and clean dot-shaped minute scale, and Dauphine (dolphin) hands, is reminiscent of the original "Ref.96". In addition, it is equipped with an "annual calendar" and "moon phase", so it is a versatile watch that boasts high functionality despite its simple design and will never get old. There have been no major fluctuations in the market at the moment, so if you have been eyeing one, now may be your chance!
