For many years, the Cellini has been the dress watch of Rolex, but the Perpetual 1908 has been announced as a new dress watch model. The name Rolex was officially registered as a trademark in Switzerland in 1908, so this model is named after that memorable year. This model incorporates various attention to detail, and also adopts new specifications such as a see-through back and dual clasp. Compared to the Oyster Perpetual collection, the case thickness is one-third, which is typical of Rolex. The slim movement is completely developed and manufactured in-house, and five patents have been applied for.
