The first Submariner Date/Ref.1680.
This is a white Sub that has been around since 1975.
The Ref. 1680 was produced from 1969 to 1980.
The White Sub was a short-lived model with a production period of only a few years.
Although it was only produced for a few years, this white sub has a wide variety of dial variations.
The dial that has arrived this time is type 2, where the submariner notation is larger than the waterproof notation.
The most attractive thing about this specimen is the tanning effect!!
The luminous tritium on the indexes and hands has burned deeply.
*The bezel insert was replaced in later years.
This is a comparison shot with the white Sub/MK3 in stock at our store.
When you compare them like this, can you see how badly this piece is tanned?
Even with the same tritium luminous material, there are individual differences,
Vintage models are so interesting!!
The dial is in good condition overall and has been kept in good condition.
The condition is age-appropriate with some scratches,
This is an individual in good overall condition.
The lugs on the middle case are thick and have sharp edges.
It's rare to find one in this condition, manufactured around 1977!!
Clasp code is "A" 93150/hard bracelet
There is very little wrinkling and it is very sturdy.
The chimney-shaped plastic windshield is also a big plus!!
Wrist shot!!
A rugged submariner.
It's so cool!!
Enjoy the deep, borderless patina dial!
