Second generation GMT Master combination model "Ref.1675/3 Root Beer"
This is the first model of the GMT-Master combination, produced from around 1970 to around 1979.
From the first combination model (brown dial),
The watch features a popular brown and gold two-tone bezel.
This model (brown/golden) is called Root Beer overseas.
It's a beer that originated in America, and the color of the can is similar.
By the way, the Ref. 1675/3 Root Beer is made of 18K gold with an applied crown mark,
The Ref.16753 Root Beer has the crown mark printed on it.
The dial of the Ref. 1675/3 is a matte dial (excluding some final dials),
Ref.16753 has a glossy dial.
Which root beer nipple do you prefer?
I like the crown applied!
The most distinctive feature of this model is the barnacle dial .
"Barnacles"
GMT Master and Submariner models manufactured from the 1960s to the 1980s
Presence of spire-shaped upright indexes.
It is commonly called the "barnacle dial" because it looks like a barnacle on a shell.
Overseas, it is also called "nipple dial."
The balance of luminous material between the hands and indexes is just right, making this a very impressive piece.
The dial has some slight scuffs, but is in good condition.
The bezel has been replaced in later years, but is in good condition.
The bracelet is fitted with a 14KYG oyster-wrapped bracelet that matches the era!
Clasp cord/The 1972 winding bracelet has a dent in the middle plate,
The atmosphere hasn't been compromised at all.
There is little twisting and the bracelet is in good condition.
The condition is vintage, so there are some scratches from use,
The case condition is good!
The lug feet are very sharp with sharp edges.
The condition of this case is impressive.
Wrist shot!!
It looks cool no matter when you look at it.
It's a stylish model with a great atmosphere!
Root Beer "Ref.1675/3" nipple dial manufactured around 1972
This is an attractive item with a good dial and case condition!!
