Hello! #N/A Kaneko from Commit Ginza will introduce some recommended watches! Today we have a vintage Sea-Dweller with a lovely red logo. Rolex Red Sea-Dweller MK3 Ref.1665 Serial.3 series (manufactured around 1972) Cal.1570 Hard bracelet 93150/FF585 Clasp code I Back cover 1972 1st period Accessories: Box (later) SOLD OUT!! The first Sea-Dweller "Ref.1665" This model was created in 1967 in partnership with the underwater research company COMEX! This is one of the early models "SEA-DWELLER" and "SUBMARINER 2000" This model is commonly known as the Red Seed as it is printed in red. This is also known as "DRSD" (Double Red Seed Error) . The Red Sea-Dweller is classified into five types, including the prototype model MK0, up to MK4. This is the MK3 dial, which is one of the most popular dials among Red Seed models. By the way, this is a comparison shot with the MK4 dial. The MK3 features sharp fonts and an open 6. The MK4 is characterized by a bolder crown mark that is more open compared to the MK3. Which dial do you prefer? I think I'd go with the thin typeface MK3. MK3 is a well-balanced design between the old and new lettering. That's what they say. The back cover features the MK3's characteristic "straight logo" . The serial number is engraved on the inside. Incidentally, it is said that a patent for a helium gas exhaust valve was granted in 1970. The back of the watch manufactured before it was approved has "PATENT PENDING" written on it. After the patent has been approved, the back cover of the watch is engraved with "ROLEX PATENT." This item has a dial in very good condition ! The luminous material is a beautiful cream color that matches the hands and indexes . The case has scratches from use. It's strangely easy to forgive scratches on a vintage Rolex. This is also a matter of taste. The lug feet are thick and do not feel extremely thin. The bracelet is a later grooveless hard bracelet. There is some creasing, but it is relatively sturdy. A bulging plastic windshield without a cyclops lens This is one of the charms of this model!! Wrist shot!! The red logo is cool. Please enjoy the atmosphere of vintage Rolex to the fullest. The scarce red Sea-Dweller "Ref.1665/MK3" This is an all-tritium watch with a beautiful cream-colored luminous coating, and is highly recommended. Although the condition of a VR matters, this product's dial condition is exceptionally good. If you are looking for a red Sea-Dweller, please consider this one.
