The Submariner "Ref.5512" was manufactured from around 1959 to 1978.
The model we are introducing today is an early individual piece manufactured around 1962, which is extremely rare.
It is a rare model with various rare elements.

"Mirror Dial"
A glossy dial found on models manufactured up to around 1967.
It is a rare dial, even among vintage models known for their beautiful, mirror-like luster,
and is significantly scarcer.

The logos and minute markers painted in gold are also characteristic of mirror dials.
It's a dial with a refined beauty that's different from current Rolex models!
The recessed gold lettering is wonderfully executed when seen in person.

This particular piece features an early mirror dial,
with a track-shaped minute circle printed along the outer edge of the dial,
known as a "chapter ring" "circle mirror" or "MM dial,"
which were produced until around 1963.

Mirror dials often show significant individual differences in their glossy finish.
Furthermore, with chapter rings,
many individuals tend to have lost their gloss or show deterioration.

Although this particular piece has some scratches from the hands on the dial, it otherwise maintains a beautiful condition, and the glossy black dial is truly captivating!

The luster is excellent! You really have to see it in person!

What is particularly noteworthy is the condition of the luminous material!
The luminous material on the indexes is in excellent condition, with almost no missing areas.
Furthermore, this dial is a rare dial
known as "6 dots," which has a circular luminous point on the minute circle at the 6 o'clock position.
Since the luminous point, when viewed together with the bar index, resembles an "!" mark,
it is also called an "exclamation dial."
It is said to be a dial that initially adopted tritium, reducing the radium content and
using tritium in conjunction.

The flat hands are also very nice!
The luminous material on the hands is also in good condition!!
It's rare to find a piece with such well-preserved luminous material on both the indexes and hands.

The bezel insert is an MK2/Long 5 insert with a superb fade!
This insert is also an essential detail!
*The luminous point has been relumed.

Although the watch has some scratches commensurate with its age, it is a recommended piece with overall good condition!
It has also been overhauled by our affiliated workshop.

The middle case is solid without excessive polishing.

The pointed crown guards ("PCG")
are a cool characteristic of this era!
The crown is also a 700-series crown, appropriate for the era.

The rivet bracelet is also an essential point for pieces from this era!

The Swiss rivet from the 4th quarter of '63 is in excellent condition,

The condition is superb with minimal stretch!
This rivet bracelet is also rare!

It's cool. It has a great look!!
Overall, it's a recommended piece that maintains attractive condition!!

Finally, a wrist shot!!
This is an exquisite piece with an outstanding presence, where the faded Long 5 bezel and the glossy jet-black mirror perfectly harmonize!!

Submariner Circle Mirror "Ref.5512 '62"
