Hello!
Kaneko from Commit Ginza would like to introduce a recommended watch!
Today, we have a recommended Submariner/Ref.5512 with an early matte dial!!

ROLEX Submariner Meter First
Ref.5512 Serial.18xxxx (Manufactured around 1968)
Cal.1570 7206/FF80 Clasp 68.4 Caseback 67.4
Accessories: Watch only
SOLD OUT!!

The Submariner "Ref. 5512" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1978.
The difference from the Submariner "Ref. 5513," which was produced during the same period, is that
the Ref. 5513 is a non-chronometer model,
while the Ref. 5512 is a model that meets chronometer standards.

At first glance, it looks like the same model as the Submariner No-Date/Ref. 5513, but the visual difference is that
because the Ref. 5512 meets chronometer standards, the dial has a 4-line inscription at 6 o'clock that reads
"SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED"
This is a distinguishing feature.

The 5512 has a wide variety of matte dials, but
the one we are introducing today is an early "meter first" dial!

"Meter First"
This is an early matte dial model where the 200m depth rating comes before the 660ft rating.
The Ref. 5512 itself is a model that is difficult to come by,
and this dial is an especially rare matte dial.

The dial has natural aging around the indexes,
which, on the contrary, creates a nice vintage atmosphere!

The luminous material is all tritium.
The luminous condition is good, and the balance of the luminous patination between the hands and indexes is also good!
The aging of the hands also looks great!!

The "long 5" bezel insert also looks great~!!
There are minor scratches,
but the fading is minimal, making it a very rare insert in excellent condition!

The condition shows age-appropriate signs of use,
but for a watch manufactured around 1968, it is in good condition!

The mid-case is thick and has not been excessively polished.

As you can see, the lugs are sturdy!

The bracelet is an FF80/7206 rivet bracelet.
The buckle clasp is stamped 68.4.

The bracelet, which matches the age, is in good condition with almost no stretch felt.

It has a great look.
The ivory-toned lettering and the aged tritium lume
make this Ref. 5512 Meter First incredibly cool!

Finally, a wrist shot!!
This is a highly recommended piece for those who want to enjoy the flavor of vintage!
Vintage Submariner Meter First "Ref. 5512/1968"
This is an early matte example with an early meter first dial, long 5 insert, rivet bracelet, etc.,
full of charm.
It is rare to find such a well-preserved 5512/Meter First!
It has also been overhauled by our affiliated workshop!
To customers looking for a Ref. 5512/early matte dial,
please consider it!
