No. 231 ~ [A must-see for enthusiasts] Check out the different colors of the current Daytona 116500LN black sub-dial!
Hello!
This is Kaneko from Commit Ginza!
Today we have the photo comparison series that everyone loves!!
Yes! Here are two current Daytona "Ref. 116500LN" with black dials.
The one on the left is a 2020 stamped individual, and the one on the right is a 2017 stamped individual.
At first glance, it looks exactly the same as the current Daytona with a black dial,
If you look closely, you can see the differences.
Please take a look!
The color of the sub-dials on the watch on the left (marked 2020) and the watch on the right (marked 2017) are different.
It's hard to tell from this photo, isn't it?
How about this one!
....
It may be hard to tell from the photo, but...
There are definitely differences between the one on the left (stamped 2020) and the one on the right (stamped 2017).
In terms of color,
The left is a strong silver that looks slightly bluish,
The one on the right looks a light silver with a slight brown tint.
The top is the strong silver from 2020 and the bottom is the light silver from 2017.
It's easier to understand when you compare them like this.
Because it is very difficult to understand even if you look at it alone,
I tried to find out if there were any other differences...
I discovered the distinguishing feature (lol)
Let's start by looking at the five-line logo at the 12 o'clock position.
If you look closely, you can see the font of the Rolex logo.
The bottom one (stamped in 2017) is thinner than the top one (stamped in 2020).
However, this point is difficult to distinguish when viewed alone.
Next is the Daytona logo.
If you look closely,
Compared to the top (2020 stamp), the bottom (2017 stamp)
The Daytona logo stands out slightly from the sub-dial.
It's just a little bit, though.
Also, the font of the “6” in the “60” subdial scale is different.
Lastly, there is the “SWISS MADE” logo at the 6 o’clock position.
Compared to the one above (2020 stamp), the one below (2017 stamp) has serifs (fluttering ornaments) in the typeface.
What do you think? Isn't this point easy to understand?
Let's see here lol
However, this is only based on the individual models we compared this time,
It's possible that it won't be this way.
Please use this information for reference only.
If you have any information, please let us know!!
By the way, the left (2020) and right (2019) are stronger silver.
The center is a light silver stamp for 2017.
This is just my memory,
The original model released in 2016 was a strong silver color.
It seems like the ones from 2017 to 2018 were mostly light silver...
Sorry, this is a bit vague.
It seems that the ones manufactured after 2019 tend to have a stronger silver color.
Please also use this as a reference.
Currently, Commit has two current Daytonas available for introduction today.
Please consider this.
