The El Primero-equipped Daytona/Ref. 16520 was produced in numbers from R to P.
This is a very popular discontinued model that has a retro feel that can't be found in current models!

The item we have in stock this time is extremely rare,
This is the earliest model that combines the features of the MK1/floating dial and the MK2/225 taki bezel.

First, let's take a look at some of the unique features of the early model!

"Step-down" MK1 dial

The 5-line logo at the 12 o'clock position
Only “COSMOGRAPH” is laid out one level away.
This dial is also known as a "floating" dial.

Of course, the "6" at the 6 o'clock position on the 12-hour counter is reversed to appear as a "9", making it what is commonly known as an "inverted 6" dial.

What I personally like about the MK1 dial is,
This is a typeface with bold serifs.

Five lines at 12 o'clock and "T SWISS MADE T" at 6 o'clock
The serif font is so cool!!

The luminous material is all tritium!

While many of the early models have Luminova hands replaced,
This particular watch has a solid tritium initial needle attached.

The dial has some age-specific deterioration, such as around the center of the hands and the inner dials.
The atmosphere hasn't been compromised at all!

MK2 bezel "225 Taki" bezel

Pay attention to the mark between "200" and "300".
The scale on the MK3 bezel and later will only be "240",
The MK2 bezel has two markings, "225" and "250".
This is a very rare early bezel commonly known as "225 Taki".

There are scratches and scuffs around the bezel consistent with age,
There is no sagging and the edge lines are very sharp!

The combination of the 225 Taki bezel and floating is very cool and stylish.

The case and bracelet are in good condition, although there are some scratches from use.
It has a rugged impression and is in good condition as an individual item.

The middle case is in the condition shown.
It's a solid case with no excessive finishing.

There are some scratches, but the lug legs are in great shape and look great!!

Buckle clasp code is "M5"
It is equipped with a single bracelet that matches the era!

The bracelet is slightly wrinkled, but is in good condition.
