SOLD OUT!!
The second generation Explorer II Ref. 16550, manufactured from 1984 to 1988, has arrived!
This is a short-lived model, with a production period of only a few years.
The "Ref.16550" has a similar design to the "Ref.16570",
It features a large, angular bezel with typeface.
I'm sure there are many people who like this bezel with a strong retro feel.
The dial colors of the "Ref.16550" are black, ivory, and white.
However,
The latest arrival is the ivory dial, which is considered to be the rarest of all.
The ivory dial has individual differences,
The particular watch we are introducing has a very rich ivory dial.
It's been a while since we've had such a deep ivory dial in stock.
The luminous edges of the index and the metal frame of the hands are silver.
The upper part of the chronometer notation reads "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER"
This dial is called a "center split," which means that the space between the letters "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" on the bottom line is aligned at the top and bottom.
This dial is also available in the black dial.
The ivory x center split dial
This is a rare dial that many people are looking for.
There is a slight crack in the luminous needle.
The luminous material is all tritium.
The dial condition is as follows: There are no noticeable scratches even when viewed with a magnifying glass.
It will be in great condition and unseen.
To be honest, there are many scratches on the whole item due to use.
However, the case is thick and does not have an excessive finish.
The lug shape is also very impressive.
There are many scratches, but it is a vintage model, so
We do not do exterior finishing.
The single bracelet is wrinkled, but
The clasp code is consistent with "J".
This product also comes with a wide range of accessories!
Box, warranty card (domestic regular), Explorer booklet, Oyster booklet,
Serial tags, chronometer tags, etc.
It's a complete product with such rich content.
The warranty included is a very nice touch,
What's attractive about this set is that it includes all the Explorer booklets (84)!!
At the time, it was supposed to have a white dial,
The booklet features the ivory colored 16550.
16550 is not listed,
A price list like this from 1986 was also included!!
If you look closely, you'll see that the platinum Day-Date with diamond bezel/Ref. 18046 costs a whopping 15.4 million yen.
I was surprised at the extremely high price.
Other Day-Dates are also expensive.
Documents from that time like this are so fascinating!!
Rare Explorer II "Ref. 16550"
This is a hard-to-find model with a rich ivory dial and center split!
There are many scratches on the whole, but the ivory color is very deep.
It's rare to come across a watch with such excellent dial condition!!
Another attractive feature is the wide range of accessories it comes with!
Customers looking for Ref.16550/ivory dial,
Please consider it!!
