The fourth-generation Submariner "Ref. 5513" is a long-selling model with a production period of approximately 27 years.

This model was released around 1963 as a Diffusion model that was not chronometer certified, as opposed to the chronometer-equipped "Ref. 5512".

This model has undergone various minor changes and is extremely popular among vintage Rolexes, but the one we have in stock this time is an early production model with a glossy finish commonly known as a "mirror dial."

"Mirror Dial"

A glossy dial that was available on models manufactured up until around 1966.

This is a rare dial that is extremely rare even among vintage models, with its beautiful mirror-like shine.

"Gold Letters"

The gold-painted logo and minute lines are also features of the mirror dial.

The dial has a sophisticated beauty that is different from current Rolexes!

The stepped-down gold lettering looks amazing in person.

Here is a comparison shot with the rimless 5513 with a matte dial (right).

Even though they are the same vintage model, they have completely different looks!

The characteristic of mirror dials is their jet black color!

The dials of the watches we have received this time are consistent and have some small scratches and deterioration due to aging, but as a mirror dial, it is in very good condition!!

The index luminous material has some slight cracks and missing parts, but there is no major damage.

There are no cracks or other damage to the luminous hands, and they have aged beautifully.

The bezel is a long 5 bezel that matches the age, and the luminous points have been repaired, but the condition is good.

The condition is good, although there are scratches overall appropriate for its age.

The lugs of the case have a polished look, but since this is a vintage model, the atmosphere is surprisingly not compromised!

The bracelet is US riveted and has some creasing, but is in relatively good condition.

Mirror dials are becoming increasingly rare, but a beautiful mirror dial with a glossy finish like this one is definitely rare!

Mirror dials like this one will likely become even more rare in the future!

This product was overhauled at an authorized repair shop in May 2022.
