Hello everyone!
It's been a while since we've had the Watches and Leather Shoes series!!
Following on from last time, I would like to introduce Part 3 of my comparison of luxury watch manufacturers to luxury leather shoe manufacturers .
If you haven't watched Part 1 or Part 2, please do so now.
This time, we will be picking out Grand Seiko, which Japan is proud of around the world , as well as Omega and Jaeger-LeCoultre .
As with last time, this is purely my personal opinion, so please take it with a grain of salt.
Grand Seiko
The first brand we would like to introduce is Grand Seiko , a brand that Japan is proud of around the world.
Seiko was founded in 1881 and produced the first domestically produced wristwatch in 1931. In 1960, they launched their luxury line, Grand Seiko . Equipped with overwhelming technological capabilities such as Spring Drive calibers, their watches boast precision that exceeds that of Swiss certified chronometers.
For 2021, they will be releasing a model with a dial that depicts the four seasons of Japan. They are a proud manufacturer that reflects the best of Japan in their watches and shares them with the world.

SCOTCH GRAIN
Scotch Grain is an original brand launched in 1978 by Hirokawa Shoes, which was founded in 1964.
The name "Scotch Grain" comes from the traditional Scottish "Scotch Grain Leather", a leather processing method in which fine granular embossing is engraved on the surface.
As the name suggests, the company is extremely particular about the quality of its leather, purchasing its materials in European countries and sourcing domestic leather from some of the country's leading tanneries, such as Tochigi and Himeji.
The shoes are made in a factory in Sumida, Tokyo, by skilled Japanese craftsmen using the traditional British Goodyear welt method, which requires 170 steps in a single production run. This method requires many steps and parts, and requires skilled techniques and a lot of time. The wooden lasts used in Scotch Grain shoes are designed to fit Japanese feet, so the more you wear them, the more comfortable they become, allowing you to wear them for a long time.
Like Grand Seiko , Scotch Grain is a leather shoe manufacturer that Japan is proud of. Let's all support Japanese manufacturers!
OMEGA
Next, let's introduce Omega .
In 1848, watchmaker Louis Brandt established a workshop in Switzerland, and that's how Omega began its history. About half a century later, in 1894, the company released the Cal.19 line, which was a high-quality movement at the time. The company was proud of the fact that it was the "best" and "ultimate" watch, and named it after the last letter of the Greek alphabet, "Ω = Omega."
Speaking of Omega , the Speedmaster is famous for being the first watch to land on the moon. The Speedmaster Professional "Moonwatch" / Speedmaster is one of Omega 's most representative timepieces. The legendary Speedmaster, which was carried on all six moon landing projects, inherits Omega 's pioneering spirit.

Church's
Founded in Northampton, England in 1873, Church's is a prestigious company with over 140 years of history.
Originally, there was no concept of left and right in the leather shoe industry, and most shoes were made completely differently than they are today. At that time, Church's was the first to create a difference in shape between the left and right shoes, and came up with a size range of 0.5 increments. The birth of this innovative leather shoe led to great development in the leather shoe industry.
Church's was one of the first companies to introduce the Goodyear welt method, which originated in the United States in the late 18th century, to the UK, and was the pioneer in establishing the image that "British ready-made shoes = Goodyear welt." Today, their high-quality shoes are loved all over the world.
One of the reasons we chose Church's this time is that James Bond of 007 used them. We feature James Bond in our columns and on YouTube (Commit TV), and it is said that he wore Church 's signature Shannon in the movie "Quantum of Solace."

There's no need for further explanation.
JAEGER-LECOULTRE
Lastly, we have Jaeger-LeCoultre, a long-established luxury watch manufacturer founded in Switzerland in 1833.
As one of the few manufacturers in the world, they produce the highest quality watches. They handle all processes from the movement to the case in-house, and their technical expertise is among the best. Their track record of supplying movements to the world's three largest luxury watch brands, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and Vacheron Constantin, also speaks to their high level of technical skill. Furthermore, they have over 400 patents and hundreds of inventions, making them unrivaled in terms of technical and inventive capabilities.
One of Jaeger-LeCoultre 's signature pieces is the Reverso, which was created in response to a request to create a watch that could withstand the intense shocks of polo matches. Jaeger-LeCoultre is well versed in the UK, the birthplace of polo, and this model is a perfect fit for the classic style.

Crockett & Jones
The perfect watch for Jaeger-LeCoultre is Crockett & Jones , beloved by British gentlemen.
Founded in 1879 , Crockett & Jones has a workshop in Northampton, the mecca for leather shoes, just like Church , which we introduced earlier. At the time, it had established itself as an OEM brand, and also produced shoes for John Lobb and George Cleverley. It goes without saying that they have first-class technology.
Actually, I have visited this workshop myself. I didn't have a lot of money at the time, so I just looked around, but I couldn't forget it, so when I returned to Japan, I saved up some money and bought it.
Combining Crockett & Jones leather shoes, which are essential to this classic style, with Jaeger-LeCoultre's Reverso watch will create the perfect look for a cool, grown-up man.
summary
What did you think.
Following on from Part 1 and Part 2, I think I was able to introduce many wonderful "luxury leather shoe manufacturers ." There are many manufacturers that I have a personal attachment to, and introducing them once again made me realize how wonderful they are.
As with last time, the "luxury leather shoe manufacturers" I have chosen this time are based purely on my own personal opinions and biases, so I hope you will understand this.
