Good evening everyone!
Today, I would like to talk about an interesting discovery I made about the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Extra-Thin Ref. 15202ST.OO.1240ST.01.A, which everyone is familiar with.
Of course, there may still be some people who don't know much about it, so we'll be explaining the history of the Royal Oak Extra-Thin and its minor changes, so be sure to watch until the end!
“Ref.15202ST.OO.1240ST.01.A” Overview
history
The Royal Oak Extra-Thin (Ref. 15202ST.OO.1240ST.01.A) was released in 2012 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Royal Oak .
It is a reproduction model of the first Royal Oak " Ref. 5402 " that appeared in 1972. It has the same specifications as the original, with a case diameter of 39mm and a case thickness of 8.1mm, and is equipped with the " Cal. 2121 " movement, which is based on the " Cal. 920 " made by Jaeger-LeCoultre.
In 2022, the new "Ref. 16202ST.OO.1240ST.01" will be released to mark the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak, and as a result, the "Ref. 15202ST.OO.1240ST.01.A" introduced this time will be discontinued.

"Ref.15202ST.OO.1240ST.01.A" dial color
We've lined up two models from different eras, what do you think?
The one on the left is from around 2018, and the one on the right is from around 2021.
The one on the left is clearly closer to black, while the one on the right seems to have a lighter blue hue (closer to the current three-hand model). I think the difference is clear just from this photo. Next, let's take a look at the photos of each one.
First, an individual from around 2018.
Next is an individual from around 2021.
Let's take a look at the photos above.
First, here 's one from around 2018.
Next is an individual from around 2021.
Finally, here's a comparison photo from a different angle.
Both are beautiful colors, but the 2018 model is a bit grayish, while the 2021 model is a refreshing blue, so the difference is clear at a glance. I noticed this because the two happened to arrive at the same time, but it's surprising how difficult it is to tell the difference unless you put them side by side.
I don't know when the dial color changed, but if I carefully observe the "Extra-Thin" when it arrives in stock in the future, I may be able to see some of the transition period. I would like to keep an eye on this until I reach a conclusion, but if you already own this model, I would be grateful if you could come to the store to show it to me.

What did you think?
It's not often you get the chance to see these models side by side, so it must have been a refreshing experience.
Also, which color did you prefer? The grayish blue and the vibrant blue are both beautiful, so it's hard to choose a favorite, but if you are considering purchasing one, I think you will be able to find your ideal watch if you understand the difference between the two. Please let us know your preference when you come to our store.
Once again, I hope that by reading this column, even one more person will become interested in luxury watches!
