Features of the Grand Seiko x Disney collaboration model
These are the two collaboration models!
The two collaboration models announced are the "Ref.SLGH023" with a "birch silver" dial and the "Ref.SLGH025" with a "birch green" dial. They are based on the representative models of the "Evolution 9 Collection," the "Ref.SLGH005" and "Ref.SLGH011," respectively.
There's Mickey here!!
From the front, the design is no different from the regular model, but in fact, there is Mickey on the back cover ! The design is different for each model, with the "Ref. SLGH023 (silver)" featuring Mickey facing forward, and the "Ref. SLGH025 (green)" featuring Mickey with his back turned to the side.
Rather than ostentatiously putting Mickey on the front and center, it is placed subtly, which I think is the result of the utmost consideration not to diminish the dignity of Grand Seiko. The words "LIMITED EDITION" are engraved on the stainless steel part of the back cover, clearly indicating that it is a special edition.

The "Ref. SLGH005 (Silver) " won the highest award, " Best of the Best ," in the "Product Design" category of the 2022 Red Dot Design Award. This is one of the world's most prestigious design awards, which has been held since 1955 , and in 2022 it was selected from over 7,900 products from over 60 countries around the world. The reason for the award is that "it is new, yet embodies the unchanging Japanese style." This award has earned it recognition from the world as a beautiful and wonderful watch.
A dial inspired by a birch forest
The most distinctive feature of the white birch model is its stamped dial. It was created based on the motif of the white birch forest that spreads around Studio Shizukuishi, and by skillfully expressing shadows, it embodies the "Evolution 9 Style" that enhances the beauty of the watch.

Equipped with the latest movement "Cal.9SA5"
The movement is the automatic Cal. 9SA5, created to commemorate Grand Seiko's 60th anniversary. It took about nine years to complete, and has a high-beat specification of 10 vibrations per second and a power reserve of about 80 hours.
