hello everyone.
Today I would like to talk about Patek Philippe 's authorized domestic retailers. Tokyo is home to many authorized retailers of various brands, and of the 30 authorized domestic retailers of Patek Philippe, 9 are located within the 23 wards of Tokyo. This time, I would like to introduce 9 authorized retailers in Tokyo, as I believe that many people do not know where the authorized retailers (agency) are located. Please stay with me until the end.
Ginza area>>>
⌚THE HOUR GLASS (Ginza)
The first place we would like to introduce is THE HOUR GLASS Ginza store, which is located at the entrance to Ginza Namiki-dori, which is relatively close to our store. Many people may have seen it on TV or YouTube.
THE HOUR GLASS is a famous watch store founded in Singapore in 1979 that handles many luxury watch brands and has stores in major cities around the world, mainly in Asia. Although the store is close by, its luxurious appearance always makes me feel excited.
⌚Nichindou (Ginza)
Next is Nisshindo Ginza, which has a store on Ginza Chuo-dori.
The company has a very long history, having been founded all the way back in 1892 (Meiji 25). It was established in its current location in Ginza in 1948, making it a long-established store that has been around for over 70 years. They have seven directly managed stores across the country, including the Osaka Hilton Plaza store, Shinjuku Keio store, JR Kyoto Isetan store, Sapporo Marui Imai store, Kumamoto Tsuruya store, and Rolex Boutique Roppongi Hills.
Nihonbashi area>>>
In the Nihonbashi area, close to Ginza, Patek Philippe is sold at the historic and well-established department stores Mitsukoshi and Takashimaya.
⌚Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store Watch Gallery (Nihonbashi)
⌚Nihonbashi Takashimaya WATCH MAISON (Nihonbashi)
Both department stores in Nihonbashi are close to each other. Even though they are close, the inventory (distribution and situation) differs depending on the store, so if you have time, I think it's worth visiting both. I often hear people say, "It's hard to go into high-end street-facing stores!", but in that sense, I think department stores are a relatively easy environment to go into.
Aoyama/Shibuya area>>>
⌚Sphere Patek Philippe Boutique Tokyo (Aoyama)
Next up is Sphere Patek Philippe, which has a store on Antique Street in Aoyama. Boutique Tokyo opened in 2002 and specializes in Patek Philippe . In 2010, it was renovated as the world's third Patek Philippe boutique , following stores in Milan (Italy) and Frankfurt (Germany).
⌚Tokyu Shibuya Main Branch (Shibuya)
Tokyu Shibuya Main Branch is a department store in Shibuya, located close to Sphere.
The quiet Shoto area, lined with luxury homes, is nearby. The watch sales floor is on the fifth floor, and the Patek Philippe sales booth has a sophisticated and calm appearance. Shibuya has a strong image as a town for young people, but Tokyu Shibuya Main Store is a long-established department store that has a solid display of luxury watches. Surprisingly, there are many comments from customers who have purchased from the official store, so it may be a hidden gem.
⌚YOSHIDA
Next up is YOSHIDA , a shop located along Koshu Kaido in Hatagaya, Shibuya Ward, which was founded over 100 years ago.
I've been in the watch industry for almost 20 years now, and I've handled many Patek Philippe watches, including at the watch shop I worked at before I joined Commit Ginza. I can't count how many times I've seen Yoshida 's stamp on the domestic official warranty of the watches we've purchased from them... (laughs) Anyway, I have the impression that they have a good selection of watches and a strong sales force.
Shinjuku area>>>
⌚Isetan Shinjuku (Shinjuku)
Besides watches, I also like clothes, and I have been familiar with Shinjuku Isetan since I was young.
As a department store that brings together the cutting edge of Japanese fashion, I think it's a place that many people visit for a variety of occasions, such as shopping for themselves, going out with friends, or going on a date with a boyfriend or girlfriend. For this reason, the watch floor doesn't feel intimidating in a good way, and it gives the impression that you can casually drop in to look around. Here you can also look around at many famous brands at once, so if you have the chance, please stop by.
Ikebukuro area>>>
⌚Tobu Ikebukuro (Ikebukuro)
Next, the location is Tobu Ikebukuro, which is the easiest to get to as it is also on my route to work.
The Patek Philippe sales booth is located at the very back as seen from the entrance to the watch sales floor. Before I entered the watch industry, I had not been to Tobu Ikebukuro very often, but since I started working in this industry, I have visited the store many times to learn more.
summary
When you hear that it's an official Patek Philippe store, you may be intimidated because of the prestige of the brand itself, and think that it would be difficult to go to the store.
However, each store has its own color, so department stores are relatively easy to get to. (I'm sure there are many people who have been there many times and didn't know about it until now!)
Also, as I wrote in a previous article in the MASTER'S Column about etiquette at luxury watch stores , if there is no dress code, you can just go ahead and speak to the staff.
This article focuses on stores in Tokyo, but there are still about 20 authorized retailers in the country. If you have the opportunity to visit one of these areas, please be brave and take a look.
I haven't been able to go there much recently, so I'll make sure to go there (laughs).
see you!
