Good evening everyone
The rainy season is finally over and summer is here. The coronavirus is a big problem, but it looks like the sun is going to be very strong for a while, so please be sure to stay hydrated and take care of your health.
This time, we would like to introduce five models of Patek Philippe watches that can be purchased on the second-hand market for under 4 million yen or for around 1 million yen more, making them a great value for money.
*We have deliberately excluded models whose market value has increased compared to previous models or models that are priced at a premium.
I think there are some personal opinions in this post, so I hope you will take it as just one opinion or point of view (laughs).
*The market price may change from time to time.
Calatrava Pilot Travel Time 18KWG Ref.5524G-001
Since the founding of Commit Ginza, more than 10 pieces of this model have been sold, including the 18KRG (rose gold) version. When it was first released, it was sometimes priced higher than the list price, but at present, depending on the condition and year of manufacture, it is possible to purchase this model for less than 4 million yen. The 18KRG (rose gold) version released later is less in circulation and is priced higher on the market than the 18KWG (white gold), so the 18KWG (white gold) model is the one to aim for. This model is recommended as it is suitable for everyday use, including the size.
Annual Calendar Chronograph S/S Ref.5960/1A-001
The stainless steel model of the annual calendar chronograph "Ref. 5960" was released in 2014. When it was first released, it was sold at a price equal to or higher than the list price. At one point, it fluctuated below 4 million yen, but recently there are few units in circulation and the price seems to be gradually increasing. Considering the recent price hikes seen in the Nautilus and Aquanaut, especially the stainless steel models, I would recommend purchasing one that is in good condition, comes with all the accessories, and is less than 5 million yen. Another point is that it has a stainless steel bracelet, which makes it easy to use.
Annual Calendar Regulator 18KWG Ref.5235G-001
Patek Philippe 's first regulator model was released in 2012. I remember that when it was first released, there were few units on the market and it was priced at a premium. Despite Patek Philippe 's strong feelings about this watch, I personally think that the market price is reasonable and easy to buy. If it is in good condition, comes with all the accessories, and can be purchased at a reasonable price, it may become an interesting watch in the future.
World Time Chronograph 18KWG Ref.5930G-001
The World Time Chronograph was announced as a new model at Baselworld in 2016. It features a chronograph in addition to the usual world time function, and the bright blue dial has beautiful guilloche engraving in the center, making it a very cool model. The domestic list price is nearly 9 million yen, so it is by no means cheap, but if you can find it for less than 5.5 million yen, it is a recommended watch.
Gondolo 8 Days 18KWG Ref.5200G-001
It was released as a new model in 2013, and has a long power reserve of 8 days, a date display, small seconds, and a day of the week display at 6 o'clock. Although production has already ended, the list price was high at the time of sale, so if it is in good condition and the price is kept below 3.5 million yen, I think it is a good watch to buy.
summary
Recently [Patek Philippe When you hear the term "watch," images of the "Nautilus" and "Aquanaut" come to mind, but what do you think of the models above?
There are countless models available, including antiques and models that are no longer in production, but we have selected five current models to introduce to you that are relatively easy to obtain.
I know I can say it, but these are very good models to buy on the second-hand market . *I can't say any more than that. (laughs)
I hope that you will choose your watch wisely and create many good memories with a luxury watch, even if you are alone.
