Good evening everyone.

This time, following on from the "Ref. 5970P-001" that we introduced two issues ago, we would like to introduce the "special model" " Ref. 5270P-001" " Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" PLATINUM , which we are very excited about.

It has become less common to see this watch on the market recently, and the price has risen significantly compared to before, but I never expected that production would end with the announcement of the new model in 2022...It was my favorite model among Patek Philippe's current models, so I was very disappointed.

By the way, there are many people looking for this model, and we are receiving inquiries every day, so it may sell out early. If you have read this article, you might want to buy it right away (lol). Well, please enjoy until the end.

"Ref.5270P-001"
"Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" PLATINUM

The "Ref. 5270" was released in 2011 as the fifth generation of the "Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" model. In 2018, the long-awaited Platinum case model was finally released.

In the same year, the Ref. 5270/1R-001 (black dial) was released with an 18KRG (rose gold) case and bracelet made of the same material, which is also a popular current model with few units on the market. Commit Ginza (hereinafter referred to as our store) has sold three units so far.

Compared to the "Ref. 5270" series released in the past, the difference in the dial design is obvious. The bar-type indexes from 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock on the "Ref. 5270P-001" are Arabic numerals applied indexes.

The fact that it is equipped with a dial color called " salmon pink " or " copper " that has been adopted for classical and special models shows how different this model is. The hands, indexes, subdials, and tachymeter scale are all black, which provides high visibility and a nice vintage feel.

When I first saw the "Ref. 5270" series, I found the stepped lug design a bit odd, but now I feel that it is a well-established case design.

In addition, the bezel that appears to be curved in the opposite direction is the same design used on the historic "Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" model "Ref. 2499," which can now only be seen at overseas watch auctions.

As is customary, a diamond, which is also proof that the case is made of platinum, is set next to the moon phase adjustment button on the 6 o'clock side of the case.

A major change from the third-generation "Ref.3970" model equipped with a "perpetual calendar chronograph" and its predecessor (fourth-generation) "Ref.5970" is the change from the Lemania-based "Cal.CH 27-70 Q" to the fully in-house manufactured movement "Cal.CH 29-535 PS Q." This resulted in a larger calendar display window under the 12 o'clock position on the dial, a leap year display window at the 5 o'clock position, and a day/night display window at the 8 o'clock position, making the dial design easier to understand.

We currently have the "Ref. 5970P-001" and "Ref. 5270P-001" in our store, so we thought it would be a rare opportunity to take a photo of the two next to each other, so we took a luxurious photo of the two. Each has its own merits, so it's hard to choose a favorite, but which one do you prefer? Both are rare models with high expectations for the future. If you're looking for one, we highly recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity to purchase one.

All accessories, including the warranty card dated February 2020, box, adjustment pins, additional closed back (back cover), and booklets, are in perfect condition. Although there are some scratches and scuffs due to use, this is a one-owner item with a solid non-polished case and folding buckle.

The selling price is 29,260,000 yen (tax included)

Please check the internet thoroughly. Best price !!

summary

What did you think.

I'm really happy about this, but it seems like the value of watches is being reevaluated. With the yen weakening and overseas activity picking up, now is the time for domestic customers to get their hands on one! (laughs)

I, Abe, will continue to do my best to continue to convey the appeal of Patek Philippe watches to everyone!

see you!
