The movement is the same Cal. 3135 as the previous model, but it uses the blue Parachrom balance spring, which was developed exclusively by Rolex and has excellent magnetic and shock resistance, further improving precision and reliability.

The fourth-generation Sea-Dweller, Ref. 116600, was released in 2014. The basic design remains the same, but the latest technology has been incorporated to make it even more advanced.

The bezel is made of ceramic material, and like the Deep Sea, it has a scale of 1 minute increments up to 60 minutes. The indexes and hands are larger, and Chromalight is used for the luminous paint, improving visibility in dark places. The bracelet has two size adjustment mechanisms, the Glidelock extension system (which can be adjusted up to 20 mm) and the Fliplock extension link (which can be extended up to about 26 mm), providing comfortable wearability and operability.
