Today we would like to introduce a customer's personal watch.
The first Explorer II "Ref. 1655" manufactured from 1971 to 1983
Large orange 24-hour hand,
The base of the hands is painted black, the same as the dial.
This retro model features a "phantom effect" that makes the luminous parts appear to be floating!
The individual we will introduce this time is,
This is one of the earliest Ref.1655s with serial number 27.
The Ref.1655 also has a bezel, dial,
This model has a wide variety of second hands and variations.
This is the earliest specimen,
The bezel and dial are MK1, and the second hand is straight.
The MK1 dial features a small crown mark!
This is a photo of the MK1 bezel (top) and the MK2 bezel (bottom).
The MK1 bezel features a bold font 24-hour scale on the inside.
A distinctive feature of the MK2 bezel is the 24-hour scale engraved in a well-balanced manner in the center of the bezel.
The straight second hand without a luminous dot is also an essential feature of the early models!
Here is a comparison photo with our Ref. 1655 (right) with the MK1 dial/MK2 bezel.
