The first Submariner Date/Ref.1680.
This is an early model with a red SUBMARINER logo that was manufactured from 1969 to around 1976, commonly known as the "Red Sub."
The dial is MARK5 .
The dial is characterized by the open 6 and the horizontal bars of the "f" and "t" in the waterproof rating of 660ft being aligned.
This particular watch has a very good dial condition.
The dial is in good condition with almost no scratches or stains on the indexes or dial.
The case is fairly polished, but the lugs are thick and sturdy.
The bracelet is a later grooveless hard bracelet.
The clasp code is VF (around 1981).
The wear on the bracelet is probably appropriate for the age.
This thick plastic windshield is always intriguing to look at.
Wrist shot!
The subtle red Submariner logo gives it a special feel.
Wear this model and enjoy the vintage atmosphere to your heart's content!
