The El Primero-equipped Daytona "Ref. 16520" was produced in numbers R to P.
This is a very popular model with an attractive retro feel that cannot be found in current models.
The product you have purchased this time is the U number, which is said to be the final tritium.
The dial is the "MK6" that matches the era.
Compared to the MK5, the position of the 5-row notation is slightly higher,
It also features a tritium dial.
This MK6 dial is in excellent condition.
It's hard to tell from the photo, but the sub-dial has some burn marks.
It had a beautiful brown dial.
Here is a comparison shot with the MK1 dial.
It may be hard to tell by itself, but when you compare them you can clearly see the difference in color!
Some of you may not be familiar with the U-number brown dial,
This specimen had a relatively solid and even brown discolouration.
