The first-generation Explorer II "Ref.1655" was manufactured from 1971 to around 1983.
It is a very popular model with a retro atmosphere unique to vintage models.

This time, we are introducing a piece manufactured around 1979.
The dial is the "MK4 dial" which matches the era.
The lettering is very similar to the MK5 dial, but
the characteristic is that the "O" in "OYSTER" is oval!
The MK4 dial is surprisingly hard to find and is a rare dial.

Although the MK4 dial generally tends to have fewer examples with good condition dials,
this particular piece has an exceptionally good dial condition,
maintaining a clean state even under a loupe.

The luminous material on the indexes is also in excellent condition with no missing parts!
From the MK4 dial, it became T SWISS<25 T.

The luminous material is all tritium.
The condition of the luminous material on the hands is also good.

The bezel is an MK3, which fits the MK4 dial.
It is a rare bezel with a very short production period.
Compared to MK1 and MK2, the characteristic is that the upper part of the number "2" is gentler!

The case and bracelet have age-appropriate signs of wear,
but there are no major scratches and the condition is good.

As you can see, the middle case is thick and in solid, good condition!

The lugs are thick and substantial.

The buckle clasp code is "VD"

The bracelet, which matches the era, has some stretch, but the condition is good!
It has a nice look.
This is a wonderful model with an irresistible retro atmosphere!!
The recent market price feels like it's slightly on the rise, but now is still the chance while it's calm!!

Wrist shot!!
This is a wonderful model with an irresistible retro atmosphere!!
The combination of the rare MK4 dial and MK3 bezel makes it even more appealing!
