SOLD OUT!!

The 3rd generation Explorer "Ref.1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.
It's a recommended vintage model that can be used in any setting.
Even so, the recent Ref.1016 models are showing great momentum! It's a very popular vintage model right now.

The exquisite 36mm size fits comfortably on the wrist,
and above all, its perfected design is the reason for its popularity! !
Recently, due to excessive demand, the market price seems to be on the rise.

This model has a very rich dial variation!
The item that has just arrived is an early matte dial/MK1, manufactured around 1968.
The MK1 dial is called a "Frog Foot" dial because the crown mark resembles the foot of a frog.

Furthermore, this particular piece has thick luminous indexes at 3, 6, and 9, making it a rare dial affectionately known as "Mega Fat" due to its charming form.
While some fat font dials also exist in the later L series, the MK1/Mega Fat is said to have the thickest luminous material among the Ref.1016 models.

The plump and almost squashed 3, 6, and 9 indexes are irresistible.
It truly embodies the charm of a vintage piece!

Many Mega Fat 1016s seem to have aged dials, but this one is relatively clean and highly recommended.
The thickly applied luminous indexes have also changed beautifully to a cream color, maintaining good condition.
The luminescence is all tritium.
Although there is some deterioration in the luminous material of the hands, the balance with the luminous indexes is perfect.

It has a great look. You can feel the distinct character of an early matte dial!

The case and bracelet show signs of use, but the overall condition is excellent.

The mid-case is in this condition! It's a thick and solid case.

The buckle clasp is stamped with a 67.4 mark.

The bracelet is properly equipped with a period-correct rivet bracelet!

There are natural stretches, but the bracelet condition is also good!

Although we've had consecutive arrivals since last month,
it's entirely possible that arrivals could suddenly stop again, so those looking should definitely check it out! !

Wrist shot! !
The charming form of the 3, 6, and 9 is attractive! !
It's a piece you'll grow to love! !
