The COMEX model is a special model produced by Rolex at the request of the French diving company COMEX, and the "COMEX" logo is printed on the dial as proof of the special order.

This is the improved model of Ref. 5513 , the Ref. 5514, which was born around 1967 during the development of the Sea-Dweller/Ref. 1665.

The Ref. 5514 is an extremely rare model for which Rolex issued a unique reference number exclusively for COMEX.

The case side is equipped with a helium escape valve at the 9 o'clock position, which is not found on the Ref. 5513.

The case back is engraved with ROLEX, COMEX, issue number and crown mark.

The issue number for the Ref. 5514 is only three digits, and this one is engraved with a big number in the 800 range!

This all-tritium example is in excellent dial condition and has exquisite needle rust that gives it an outstanding appearance.

The maxi index has also been changed to a beautiful cream color.

The rarely seen Submariner COMEX "Ref. 5514" is an incredibly cool piece!
