The Comex model is a product of Rolex, a French diving company called Comex.
This is a special model made to order.
As proof of this special order, the
"COMEX" logo is printed on the dial.
This is the improved model of Ref.5513
, "Ref.5514"
It was born around 1967 during the development phase of the Sea-Dweller/Ref. 1665.
The Ref. 5514 was manufactured by Rolex for Comex.
This is an extremely rare model with a unique reference number.
The case side is equipped with a helium escape valve at the 9 o'clock position, which is not found on the Ref. 5513.
The case back is engraved with ROLEX, COMEX, issue number and crown mark.
The issue number for the Ref. 5514 is only three digits,
This is engraved with the big number 800!
