Oyster Daytona "Ref. 6240" manufactured from around 1965 to around 1967
This model was generally a hand-wound Daytona with a pump pusher.
In the 1960s, screw-in push buttons were adopted.
This is a rare model that is also known as the prototype of Ref. 6263.
The production numbers are extremely low, and it is a model that is hard to find on the market.
This one has MK1 bezel, MK0 pushers, etc.
It is equipped with rare parts that are in perfect harmony.
It is especially rare to come across the earliest MK0 pushers, which have shallow anti-slip grooves on the grip.
The MK0 pusher is made of plated brass,
There are some pieces where the brass base is visible .
However, when the gold-colored brass pushers are attached,
That's going to be a really cool face.
This is a two-shot with the Ref. 6240/Low Letter Big Eye, which we have in stock at our store.
These two next to each other are really impressive.
As expected, the gold-colored MK0 pusher has a certain charm and is beautiful!
The 12 o'clock side features a large "DAYTONA" logo.
Among the many dial variations for the Ref. 6240, this is a dial that is commonly seen in this era.
The dial has age spots that can be seen with a magnifying glass,
It is a dial that leaves a good impression without compromising the atmosphere in any way.
The luminous material is all tritium. The condition of the luminous hands is good!
There are some missing parts of the index luminous material,
There are no particular corrections.
The condition is age-appropriate with some scratches,
Overall condition is good.
The middle case looks good and is sturdy.
The lug feet are also not overly finished.
The buckle clasp is stamped 4th period '66.
The bracelet is a well-fitted rivet bracelet that is securely attached.
It's in good condition with very little creasing.
Wrist shot!!
You have a great look on your face!!
This is a hand-wound Daytona with an outstanding presence!
