The first Submariner with date/Ref.1680.
This was manufactured from 1969 to 1975.
The early model with the SUBMARINER logo in red,
It is commonly known as the Red Sub .
The item we have in stock this time is a rare model among red Submariners.
Meter first.
The 200m marking comes first, commonly known as "meter first"
This is an early model with a matte dial.
The Meter First was produced from 1969 to 1970.
The Red Submariner is classified into meter first models from MK1 to MK3.
This time we will introduce the third dial, "MK3".
The features of the MK3 dial are:
The “660ft” is characterized by an “open 6” and a “short f” with a short upper part of the “F”.
It is hard to come across such a rare sight.
This is a very rare dial even among red Subs!
Furthermore, this particular model is one of the very few with the MK2/MK3 dial.
It has a rare brown dial with strong tropical aging!
Here is a comparison photo with our MK5 dial Ref. 1680 (right)!!
What do you think? You can see a clear difference in color!!
Still, it has a very nice color.
Strangely enough, this particular watch has almost no index luminous material.
It seems like vintage models like this are rare.
The selling price is kept low,
Recommended for those looking for a tropical dial!
The dial is in good condition with no noticeable scratches overall.
The luminous second hand has been corrected, but the atmosphere is not particularly affected.
The bezel is equipped with the rare "Long 5"/MK2 insert!
The stark contrast between the black MK2 insert and the brown dial is also really cool.
*The luminous effect of the luminous points has been corrected.
The condition is good with some scratches from use appropriate for its age, but it still looks good.
This piece was manufactured around 1969-1970, but the middle case is sturdy.
9315/The winding bracelet (FF280) has some wrinkles appropriate for its age.
The clasp is stamped 4th period '71.
Wrist shot!!
It's a tropical dial that can be recognized at a glance from any angle!!
Enjoy the taste that only this generation can offer!
Representative vintage Submariner model/Red Submariner "MK3"
This is a truly outstanding piece that has been exquisitely tropically aged!
The parts are generally consistent and the selling price is very attractive!
The red sub-tropical dial is not widely available, so if you're looking for one, don't miss out!
