Hello! This is Kaneko from Commit Ginza! Today we have the last edition of the Vintage Explorer. Rolex Explorer All Tritium Ref.1016 Serial.L4 (manufactured around 1989) Cal.1570 Hard bracelet 78360/FF580 Clasp code N5 Accessories: Main unit only SOLD OUT!! The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" was manufactured from around 1960 to around 1990. Various specification changes were made to the Vintage Explorer "Ref. 1016" during its long production period. Yesterday we introduced you to a watch with an exquisitely aged mirror dial, and today we will be looking at the L number, which is said to be the final model. There are also E-series models, which were produced in extremely limited numbers, but the R and L-series models are popular models that are nearing the end of production. This is the first time in a long time that we have received an L-series model in our store. The dial is the "Type 5 Dial", the final dial produced from around 1986 to around 1990. It is a popular dial with a distinctive sharp logo and a well-balanced design!
The dial has very slight signs of aging, but is generally in very good condition. The condition of the index luminous material is also excellent.
I have the impression that older models tend to be relatively uncolored, but this one (left) has a slight cream-colored tritium. Incidentally, the one on the right is the R-numbered watch of our staff member Otsuka, which was recently thrown into the limelight by "Eckwan!!" This one is a rare one with a dot at the tip of the second hand. There are small scratches all over the item from use, but no major scratches and it is in fair condition. As you can see, the edge lines of the middle case are very clear!! The hairline on the lug feet is also in good condition. The buckle clasp code is "N5" which matches the era. The bracelet is in good condition with only slight creasing! Wrist shot!! This is a very popular model with an exquisite size!! This is the last L model of the extremely popular vintage Explorer "Ref. 1016" and is a rare model with perfectly matched parts. The overall condition is also good and highly recommended!
