Repair and warranty
Q1.How long is the warranty period?
Reference: https://www.rolex.com/ja
A. The warranty period for Rolex is within 5 years from the date of purchase, which is stated on the guarantee card. It is important to note that if any repairs or polishing are performed by a third party other than Rolex during this warranty period, the warranty will not apply. Many stores polish all of the watches they sell to remove scratches and make them beautiful before selling them, so be sure to check when purchasing from a secondary distributor.
Q2. What are the specific details of the guarantee?
Reference: https://www.rolex.com/ja
A. Basically, the warranty covers the watch to function properly and covers natural breakdowns. It does not cover wear and tear (especially non-metallic bracelets and straps), loss, theft, or breakdowns caused by misuse.

Q3. Can Oysterflex models be replaced with leather straps?
Reference: ROLEX official Instagram
A. Basically, you cannot put a leather strap on an Oysterflex model. And vice versa, you cannot put an Oysterflex on a leather strap model. If you want to replace it, it's best to consult a leather strap brand that can make custom orders.
Q4. What sizes are available for Oysterflex?
Reference: ROLEX official Instagram
A. They are available in sizes C to H, and can be combined with the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock sides to accommodate a variety of sizes. Currently, the price of one Oysterflex is 39,600 yen (tax included), so if you want to change both the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock sides, it will cost 79,200 yen (tax included), which is a bit of a burden. Also, if you are within the 5-year warranty period, there is no installation fee of 3,300 yen, but if the warranty period expires, you will be charged the installation fee, so when purchasing on the secondary market, be sure to check the size and warranty period of the Oysterflex that is installed.
Q5. How much does it cost to purchase one piece of SS (stainless steel)?
Reference: ROLEX official Instagram
A. You can get detailed pricing information for each model by inquiring about it. The approximate price per frame is as follows, so please use it as a reference.
* SS (stainless steel) : Approximately 9,000 yen (depending on the size, but generally less than 10,000 yen)
* The Jubilee bracelet is more expensive than the Oyster bracelet.
The other materials are as follows:
* Combination model: Approximately 30,000 yen
* 18KWG (white gold): Approximately 83,000 yen (for President bracelet)
* PT (Platinum): 260,700 yen (one frame of the current model "Daytona" in ice blue)
Q6. How much does it cost to adjust the size of a bracelet at an authorized store?
Reference: ROLEX official Instagram
A. If you are within the warranty period, we will adjust the size of the bracelet for free, but if it is outside the warranty period, we will charge 3,300 yen. As with the replacement of Oysterflex, we recommend that you adjust the size within the warranty period.
『Dial-related』
Q7. Is it possible to replace the dial?
A. Dials can be exchanged for items that have been in stock for 5 years since the warranty date. Previously, it was possible to do so at any time as long as the item was in stock and was not a prohibited color. Also, if you want the original dial returned when you exchange it, you have to pay 40% of the dial price to get it back. There are a lot of stricter restrictions.
Q8. When I purchased it from a secondary distributor, it came with another dial. Can I exchange it for a Rolex?
A. They will replace the dial, but there is one condition: you must have a history of previously purchasing the dial for the watch in question. In other words, if you have purchased a dial elsewhere, the official store will not replace it. If you would like to replace it, it is best to take it to an affiliated repair store via a repair store or secondary distributor.
