Bold predictions! New lineup for 2023!
The IT team at Commit Ginza (hereafter referred to as our shop) has created a lot of images, so it's very impressive! There are six types of predictions in total, so please enjoy until the end.
① "Daytona" 60th Anniversary Limited Paul Newman Reproduction Model
The first one is a bold prediction that the Paul Newman reissue model will be a 60th anniversary commemorative model of the "King of Rolex," the "Daytona." (This is just a guess.)
The legendary model of the Daytona is the "Paul Newman." I made this prediction with nothing but high hopes. (laughs) It uses the Cerachrom bezel, which is also used in the current Daytona, and has a case diameter of 40mm. It has been increased in size from the 37mm of the time, giving it a modern and attractive finish. The material used is platinum, giving it a sense of luxury and dignity, making it a watch that truly makes you think of it as a "king."
[Yagi's comment]
" What do you think? Honestly, don't you think this is cool? If it were to be released, I'm sure it would be incredibly popular!! "
② "Daytona" 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Ice Blue x Green Dial
The second watch will also be from the Daytona series, and we have boldly predicted that it will be a platinum model that uses Rolex's corporate color, green. (This is just a guess.)
The ice blue dial combined with green subdials and bezel creates a novel and sophisticated design.
[Yagi's comment]
" This is a watch that our store's proud appraiser, Dr. Ito, predicted on Commit TV. According to Dr. Ito, there will be no change to the movement, and the Cal. 4130 will continue to be used, and only the design will be changed as a commemorative model!? To be honest, I think the color scheme will be controversial, but what do you think? (laughs) "

③ "Daytona" vintage reissue model with Jubilee bracelet
For the third watch, I thought this year would be the year of the Daytona, so I boldly predicted a new SS (stainless steel) model. (This is just a guess.)
Like the first one, this is a vintage reissue of the Ref. 6263, with a modern twist, featuring a Cerachrom bezel and a 40mm larger case diameter, expressing modern refinement. By changing from an Oyster bracelet to a Jubilee bracelet, the watch has been transformed from a sporty impression to a dressy one, and this new design will undoubtedly be popular!
[Yagi's comment]
" I think the movement will be updated and the Cal. 4230 will be released! I honestly don't know how the functionality will be upgraded, but I can't help but expect Rolex to pack some amazing performance into it!"
4. Submariner in green Oysterflex
For the fourth watch, we made a bold guess of a green Submariner with Oysterflex, based on the Submariner, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. (This is just a guess.)
In fact, when I predicted it last year, I also featured the Oysterflex Submariner, but the result was completely wrong. This year, a new specification Submariner will be released to mark the 70th anniversary! Since Oysterflex is basically only used in solid models, this Green Submariner is made of 18KWG (white gold). The rubber comes in two different colors to choose from, making it both practical and fun.
[Yagi's comment]
" When it comes to Rolex anniversary models, it's expected that the color green will be involved, so I personally think that a green Submariner with a green Oysterflex is hot. I'm looking forward to this announcement, as I have expressed my desire to see more colored Oysterflex models appear in the future."
5. Explorer I: 18KYG solid gold model
For the fifth watch, we made a bold prediction about the Explorer I, which, like the Submariner, is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. (This is just a guess.) Will the Explorer I, which unveiled a shocking combination model in its new release last year, finally be released in solid gold?
I thought for a moment that a green dial for the "Equone" would be a good idea, but I thought that it would be a bit too much, so I chose a solid gold version to commemorate the 70th anniversary. It's gorgeous, isn't it? The simple dial makes the 18KYG (yellow gold) stand out even more. It's a watch that I would love to see as the ultimate practical watch.
[Yagi's comment]
" When I was thinking about it, I thought it was a specification that was simply luxurious and cool. I think it might become even more popular if it were released in 18K ERG (Everose Gold), but I'm looking forward to it being released in 18KYG (yellow gold) this year. "
⑥ "Milgauss" vintage reproduction model
Lastly, there has been constant rumors of the Milgauss being discontinued for the past few years. Although predictions have been thwarted many times, I have made a bold prediction that this year will be the year it undergoes a transformation. (※This is just a prediction.)
The expected design is a reissue of the "Ref. 1019". As predicted in "Daytona", considering the current situation in which vintage Rolexes are in the spotlight, we expect that the dial design will be revived from the past. Of course, modern elements (such as green sapphire glass) will be retained, but elements from the past will also be combined to create a finish that is truly worthy of a reissue model.
[Yagi's comment]
" I made this prediction for the Milgauss with the hope that this year will be my last. I made predictions the year before last and last year, but now there are no specifications that I can predict that well (laughs). Will there really be changes to the Milgauss this year? It will be interesting to see! "

What did you think.
Continuing from last year, I have made predictions about new products that are packed with my hopes. It's fun to imagine new models after all. (laughs) Also, as many of you may have already noticed, this time I have made many design predictions that are particularly conscious of "vintage Rolex". This is proof that we have received many inquiries about "vintage Rolex" in stores and that they are attracting attention. I'm sure you all have various predictions, but I would be very happy to actually check the answers in stores or on YouTube Live when the new products are announced.
Once again, I hope that by reading this article, you will become interested in Rolex's new releases and in luxury watches.
see you!!
